76ers Amar'e to Philly for Iggy & Dalembert?

Quote:
The Suns are talking to the Sixers about trading Amare Stoudemire for Andre Iguodala and Samuel Dalembert.

According to the report from ESPN, the Sixers are the side holding up the deal and nothing is imminent. But the deal could be finalized before the trade deadline because the Sixers would like to unload Dalembert's contract.

On a parallel track, the Suns are preparing a contract offer for Stoudemire but he wants a maximum-dollar deal and a commitment from owner Robert Sarver that the team will continue to spend money.

The Suns are not inclined to make Stoudemire a max offer. The team's future spending plans are unknown but the club has been one of the more cost-conscious organizations in the league over recent years.

^^^
Philadelphia must be really hurting for money to do this trade. I can't see Amare & Brand working well together at all.

Dalembert/Lopez
Frye/Amundson
Iggy/Dudley
Richardson/Barbosa
Nash/Dragic

Iggy can quite easily play the 3, and provides the slashing wing player they need, as Richardson rarely takes it to the rim these days. As long as you think one of Frye or Lopez is capable of playing at the 4 that line up works fine.

Wow, the suns would be set if they had this.

PG: Nash
SG: Richardson
SF: Iguadala
PF: Frye
C: Dalambert

If Robin Lopez ever develops like his brother then this team would win championship(s).

Amare could be exposed w/out a good pg. Not a fan of this trade for the Sixers. Not sure how much better this makes the Suns either. Dalembert would be an imp. defending the paint, but the lack of inside scoring could work against them. Suns would still be an early exit in the playoffs if this trade happened IMO.
