Cool Allen Iverson Documentary.

Its not out yet, but here is a little sneak peek.

It looks interesting. I'll definetly be seeing it. I dude like Iverson can't have a normal story. But I'm wondering why its not out yet though. It said summer, maybe they meant next summer?

I think it's too soon for an AI documentary but with all the stuff that has happened to him, it wouldn't be hard to make one.

Ya, they should've waited till he retired, to capture the rise and fall of AI.

Iv3 = Marbury = Yesterday's me-first stars that dont fit into any teams concept.

I'll be glad when he is gone and the likes of him are ridden from the league.

couldn't disagree more raptorman. i was never iverson's biggest fan, but i love that sense of passion and competitive fire that he brought to the league. i can't see the league being better with only the types of players that are all hugs and kisses and sharing the ball at all times. people want to see stars. they want to see glory and toughness and intensity. iverson dominated the game as a less than 6' shooting guard. that was a hell of a lot of fun to watch. i doubt very much that he could have done that without the mindest and appraoch that he brought to the game, and i, for one, am better for it as a basketball fan.

+1

The dude is a warrior on the court.

The smallest MVP ever.

I agree with your words and sentiments 100%, but in reality, players like AI , tear the guts out of franchises.

People always use "warrior" and "passion" to describe what is really selfishness and lack of accountability. They want all the glory, have the talent to get most of it, but never look in the mirror when something is going wrong.

You can have him.

i think its telling when an NBA MVP, who is still capable of putting up 20+ ppg, is healthy, and is considered a 'warrior' only had about 3 teams looking to pick him up as a free agent...

fair enough raptorman, i'm just disagreeing with the sentiment about being glad when he's gone and players like him are ridden from the league. i may not want him on the raps, but i'm more than happy to have watched his career in the nba.

The guy sacrificed his body entirely for the game. Marbury just isn't a good comparison. But it might end up being close if he doesn't adapt to his aging bones. He is not going to look good, or help anyone if he tries to play like he did in 2001.

i'd like to know how AI got this title of being a 'warrior' who put his body on the line every game and sacrificed his health game in game out...
someone explain?
why, because he was 6 feet and would drive to the basket? is that why?

c'mon... the guy had a bad attitude and hated to lose... so he'd play hard and pretty much hog each possession, and somehow that makes him a worldclass warrior...

its overdone and its just the popular answer to say AI is some warrior athlete who plays with reckless abandon and sacrifices his body every game... that might have been the case 6 years ago. i havent seen any warrior mentality or body breaking play in recent years, in fact, i think he gets too much praise for that style and is credited for it because of his past.
is VC the high flying dunk machine he was 6 years ago? nope...
and the same can be said for AI's antics.

Ok:
How many 6" black holes do you know was a former NBA MVP, Rookie of the Year, All-Star game MVP, scoring champion, and is 5th all-time in scoring avg?

Oh, and did I mention he lead his team to the finals in 2001?

That's why the documentary focuses on his entire career rather than just his prime.

How many Free Agents this year were former NBA MVP, Rookie of the Year, All-Star game MVP, scoring champion, 5th all-time in scoring avg... yet unable to find a team that wants them?
