A player like Deng would be ideal on the Heat and wouldn't cost as much as Melo. He would also fit better imo with the Heats need for another facilitator on the floor, better team defence and ability to stretch the defence for Bron. If Wade wanted to start still he could come out after a few min. and then predominantly come off the bench but for some reason I can see Wade moving to a sixth man role sooner than later. Add in how nice James Ennis has been developing this past year and suddenly their bench is looking much better. Also, for some reason my gut says don't discount Oden this coming year - they need a banger and a big body down low and if reports are true and he's healthier than he has been in years then I can see him being integrated - esp. since Bosh says he won't go there any more.

Deng and KL would be ideal for Heat. Good thing they can't afford both

Sanders doing rehab.

Quote:
Contrary to a report, the market for Sanders is virtually non-existent as he not only has been plagued by off-court issues — he is expected to enter a rehab facility this summer — but will be entering the first of a four-year, $44 million contract next season.

^^^This, plus the fact that Sanders has a horrible contract and just came off a horrible season is the reason why no team wants him now. Bucks must be feeling extremely stupid for giving him that contract.

true, i hope they get him if not raps. also cant measure ennis yet, in nbl this dude was like mj. came in there and almost won mvp (won the title tho) and put up some great numbers. he may end up becoming a solid 3 and d player and reports say maim are offering him a multi-year contract so i guess that crappy league ddint factor in much.

If they are unable to acquire Kevin Love, Boston Celtics are reportedly planning a longer and more methodical rebuilding process that likely would see Rajon Rondo get traded.

The Celtics have a taker for Jeff Green if they decide to move him, according to a source.

The Celtics are not giving up in their discussions with the Minnesota Timberwolves but have thus far been rebuffed in talks. Boston has offered the Nos. 6 and 17 picks in this year’s draft, Kelly Olynyk and one of their own future No. 1 picks for Love, according to a source.

Love has reportedly told the Timberwolves' front office that he will opt out of his contract and leave next offseason if he is not traded beforehand.

Danny Granger and Glen Davis plan to opt out of their contracts for next season with the Los Angeles Clippers

Davis was slated to earn $1.4 million while Granger was scheduled to receive $1.36 million.

Granger likes the Clippers' winning culture and is hopeful to re-sign if he and the team can reach terms on a new deal. Davis is expected to test the free agency market.

The Los Angeles Lakers are in talks to acquire Klay Thompson for their No. 7 overall pick in the NBA draft.

Thompson, 24, averaged 18.4 points this season for the Warriors.

The Lakers are pondering whether to draft a power forward or point guard if they decide to keep the No. 7 pick. They have narrowed their focus to big men Aaron Gordon, Julius Randle and Noah Vonleh or point guards Dante Exum, Marcus Smart and Elfrid Payton.

The Lakers also are waiting to see if Joel Embiid falls to them after undergoing surgery on his foot.

Was reading that earlier, Kobe and Klay? That would be sweet for Klay, talk about learning from one of the best.

Must be totally media driven as I can't see Philly parting with MCW.

The Chicago Bulls are pursuing a trade with the Orlando Magic for Arron Afflalo.

Afflalo has two seasons remaining on his contract with an Early Termination Option for next summer.

It is unclear how the Bulls' pursuit of Afflalo would impact their chances to acquire Carmelo Anthony.

Chicago owns the 16th and 19th overall picks in the draft, and assuredly one of those selections would be included in a possible package with the Magic.

Afflalo will make $7.5 million this upcoming season and can opt in to a $7.75 million deal in the summer of 2015.

If the Bulls can find a way to acquire Afflalo and sign Anthony or complete a sign-and-trade for him they will be an extremely scary team next season.

The Houston Rockets lured guard Jeremy Lin and center Omer Asik by offering them "poison pill" contracts. Three seasons later, it seems as if the Rockets are the ones suffering from ill-effects.

It's no secret that the Rockets are looking to carve out cap room in the hopes of adding a third superstar to join guard James Harden and center Dwight Howard.

However, the large contracts of Asik and Lin pose as impediments to their plans as both players count for $8.4 million against the cap next season. To complicate matters, both players are actually owed $14.9 million in salary next season.

But, despite their hefty price tags, Sam Amick of USA Today is reporting that the Rockets have deals in place to shed their salaries via teams with excess cap space.

I don't think they can have both without parting with Taj. Maybe a 3 team trade with NY and Orlando. Can work if Booz, Dunleavy (both exp) Taj, 13th go to NY ( maybe a future first), Chicagos 19th goes to Orlando and Melo/Afflalo goes to Chi (3 picks for Orlando - maybe they switch the 19th and future first with NY). With Mirotic coming a 29 yr old Taj can be somewhat expendable.

If NY wants Ennis then they can start a reboot there - possibly 2 players - and come 2015 NY will have Booz, Dun, Amare coming off the books.
Knicks target Ennis
.

Jeepers, Chicago would have Rose, Afflalo, Butler, Melo, Noah as starters with Mirotic, Snell off the bench.

Magic are going to be tanking for the next 10 years. Say hello to the new Bobcats.

Watch them draft Embiid, even though he's red flagged and probably won't play next season.

Really hope not, can see Smart or Exum with the 4th and then Harris or McDermott with the 12th. If they get another pick if they trade Afflalo, maybe they'd flip it for Asik or Lin - they have to absorb something being so low under the min cap (esp if it goes up) with or without Afflalo.
