Also, with regard to the DET/SAC deal:

Rumored Sacramento-Detroit trade is "dead" according to a team source. Talks were ongoing for a few days, but Detroit nixed it this morning.

I like Ross but I'd like Aaron Gordon more....guess it would depend on how bad the Lakers need to clear cap space. I would do Novak/Salmons/#20 in a HB but have to agree with BDL (I assume about Novak and Salmons).....Lakers don't want picks or Novak and they can get way more than that from else where

Yah, that's not happening unless they draft Exum and even then that doesn't make too much sense to me as I would play Exum at the 2 and see how that goes first. Maybe....trade MCW and have 3 high picks in the top 10 this year? Basically whole starting group of rookies with Noel back..doesn't make a lot of sense, unless they do actually mean to draft and sit on Embiid...or maybe thy're that crazy.

Detroit are stupid for backing out of the deal. Thompson + Williams and possibly Terry's expiring contract for J Smoove is a steal.

Ray Allen has decided to continue to play but with one caveat - he'll play where LBJ plays, in Miami or elsewhere, as long as it's with Bron.

Agreed. Ever since he left Boston he has developed this pussy mentality. Whatever happened to the Ray Allen of the Milwaukee, Seattle and Boston days were he actually played like a big time player and wanted to be one of the best. The guy still has a ton to give, but chooses to take the easy way out. Needless to say, I lost a lot of respect for him.

. You one or those Celtic fans who thought he betrayed them by leaving lol?
A ton to give? The last 2 seasons, he has shown his age, he can't defend for shit and when he gets neutralized by defenders, he is nothing now.
Lebrons his best bet to win/ get open looks

Magic 1st overall, Cavs Afflalo 4th and 12th. Cavs rushing the rebuild and making mistakes again if there's any truth IMO.

I think that's a pretty good trade for the Cavs imo.

Wiggins in Orlando would make them scary in a couple years.

i'd do that deal if i were the cavs, i think. i'm not high enough on wiggins, parker or embid to take them at #1 over having 4, 12 and afflalo.

If Orlando does this, they should really go after Lowry imo. Not that I want them to but Lowry- Oladipo - Wiggins- Harris- Harless, Vucevic etc...is a very intriguing group.

They need to be out of the lottery and this is a very nice haul (if true). They can get a guy like smart at the 4th and someone decent at the 12th.

Or are they trying to get love and these 3 pieces plus TT for him. If that was the case, that be a solid offer for love

I would never trade the number one pick unless it was Eric Lindros and it was hockey. I would take the best player in the trade (Wiggins). Especially after continual fucking up with the number one pick.

Could be Cavs want Embiid still though. In that case trading down makes total sense.

I didn't care that Allen left. I was thankful for what he did in Boston in helping them win another championship. He was a free agent, so he had ever right to go wherever he wanted to. Management had been trying to trade him for the last 2 seasons of his Boston days, so I fully understood him in wanting to explore his options.

Also, yes he still has a ton to give because he is a deadly three point shooter and at anytime can heat up and knockdown big shots. Allen was never a great defender during any of his NBA years. Should he have worked on his defense? Obviously yes, but he has one job and that is to hit 3's. In case you missed the majority of his career he was pretty fucking good at it.

I also don't see how Lebron's his best bet to win and get open looks because If I recall correctly they just lost to a superior team in the San Antonio Spurs.

I'm not sure he's looking at it solely that way. He has mentioned that he wants to end his career his own way and on his terms. Thinking about it myself, after all he's done in his career, I think he should be able to be a little more selfish of where he's playing to end it and if he wants to do it with Bron so be it. I was surprised at first but I can't question his competitiveness.

RME!!

So if you keep fucking up the #1 pick, you keep it rather then trade for a proven solid two way veteran and two high lottery picks? IMO they are too young and need a player like Afflalo, to also get a #4 & #12......no brainer if I'm them.
