Adding Lowry had to have some positive effect on our record.... and if not, I'd then suggest he's not worth even a 12th pick either.

Coming from you that's not surprising.

You're high as a kite if you don't think Lowry isn't worth #12, especially in this shit draft. Wow

Wow, you totally didn't understand that post. You're high as a kite if you think you pegged me. I said, if someone doesn't attribute any positive value to Lowry with respect to our winning percentage, then I would suggest he's not worth the #12. They can go fly your kite if that's their opinion. We added Kyle and subtracted Gary Forbes and the draft pick which wouldn't have added any value this past year. I think it's pretty clear.... follow now matty d? Wow.

Do you really not get his argument, or are you just trolling him? I think you've discussed the same thing several times before

The New Orleans Pelicans are making Eric Gordon "very available" in trade talks, according to a source.

Gordon signed a four-year, $58 million deal with the Phoenix Suns last offseason that was matched by the Pelicans. Gordon badly wanted to play for the Suns and was publicly disappointed by the Pelicans' decision to match.

Gordon played in just 42 games last season due to a continued string of injuries.

The Houston Rockets reportedly have deals on the table to send Thomas Robinson to the Chicago Bulls or Cleveland Cavaliers.

The Cavaliers would send the No. 19 pick to the Rockets for Robinson, or the Bulls would trade No. 20.

The Rockets are trying to move Robinson in order to clear additional cap room to pursue Dwight Howard.

He's saying that the pick would've been in that range without Lowry. Who knows.

So I guess that's where the Rip Hamilton rumor comes in.

It would probably be Rip+#20 for Robinson (+Royce White's contract maybe, to drop more salary?). That would give Houston the cap space for Dwight.

Agreed, meh... but just saying, this is talking about Lowry, who being added greatly affected the outcome of what pick we gave away. Sure it was the 12th, but he definitely contributed to that pick being worse as a result of winning more games.

The Orlando Magic are considering trading down out of the second overall slot in the draft, according to reports from Adrian Wojnarowski and Josh Robbins of the Orlando Sentinel.

The Magic are studying players that are projected to be selected late in the lottery and the middle of the first round.

The Magic are expected to select Nerlens Noel if the Cleveland Cavaliers don't pick him with the first overall pick.

Robbins reports that the Minnesota Timberwolves could be a trade partner.

A healthy Noel would look nice beside Jonas.

Philly is kind of screwed. They should've kept the young guys and just taken the pick + Afflalo, if Iguodala was really causing issues with the coach, as reported.
If they can't get Bynum back and healthy, they are stuck in mediocrity for a few years.
So, what you're saying is they should have kept their young guys, dealt their overpaid guys, lose some games for a few seasons, and come back with a better young core? That's exactly the same thing as what I said, I don't see how it's so hard to compare.

And also, Paul >>>> Bynum.

I didn't understand your post then. Your post wasn't very detailed as far as why they got worse.

Re Bynum/Paul, I was just looking for an example of a young superstar with bad knees who's healthy right now. CP3 was the only one i could think of.
Anyway, you probably have a few too many ">" signs there. Bynum was legit, he had character flaws but he was a top 10 player last year. And Iggy is better than Gay too, Jonas is a better prospect than Vucevic... I think it's a very fair example, actually.

Apparently Ray Allen is considering opting out of his contract. He wants to stay with the Heat but is asking for more years and $. If he opts out and they don't agree to his terms, Allen may be available for another contending team. Ray Allen would look good on the Spurs.

Is Doug Smith drunk? What a meathead

Quote:
The Cleveland Cavaliers had the easiest decision in the history of the NBA draft the last time they had the No. 1 overall pick: Taking LeBron James in 2003 was so ridiculously obvious it wasn’t worth thinking about.
^ Guess he forgot about Irving??

Quote:
After Bennett goes, it could be an historic night for Canadian basketball in a couple of ways.

Kelly Olynyk of Gonzaga, a Kamloops native by way of Toronto, could sneak into the end of the lottery — the middle of the first round at the very worst — and Toronto’s Myck Kabongo now looks like a second-round pick.

The history? If it plays out that way, it will be the first time three Canadians have been taken in the same draft, and if Olynyk goes in the top 14, it’ll be the first time for two Canucks in the lottery.

^ Three were drafted last year (Nicholson, Joseph, Sacre)

Quote:
Bennett, a 6-foot-7 forward coming off his freshman year at UNLV, is seen as a possible pick anywhere from No. 3 to No. 6; the highest Canadian before this year was Tristan Thompson, who was taken fifth by the Cleveland Cavaliers in 20111.

^ Thompson was taken 4th. What makes it worse was that WE drafted 5th. And it wasn't 20111....

Looks like Aldridge dislikes Portland

Quote:
LaMarcus Aldridge has wanted out of Portland since the last week of the Trail Blazers' season and did not resign sponsorship deals in Portland this past year, including agreements with Cadillac, Chevy, and Providence Hospital while asking to get out of a lease on his Pearl District condo.

Aldridge tried to put a clause into his lease that he will not have to pay penalties if he was traded.

“This is why I hate being in Portland,’’ Aldridge said during the last week of the season. “You can’t do anything.’’

According to the report, Aldridge would not only welcome a trade from the Blazers, but he hopes for one, believing the city is too boring and small.
