Jeff, keeping Gay means we get a few more wins. This team will not lead us to the top, nor get us a good enough pick. Masai's vision is one or the other. Either route he wants it to lead to the top.

I don't see gay being trade this summer anyway. keeping gay doesn't exclude us from getting better or making moves.

Sad thing is I agree. I don't think the Raps will tank by trading Gay, having us miss out on a top pick in one of the best drafts ever .

No, I never said I wanted to trade Gay at all. I was just commenting on your comment. You'd like to wait a full season before a trade is considered, guess that would most likely be 2015 pick. I know many are excited about 2014 but with all the big names in it, wouldn't anyone other than myself think some will withdraw to garner a better position in 2015? I mean 2014 is amazing but the same thing happened a couple years ago, many big names but 20-25% pulled themselves out and went next year. Not to mention the next crop of high schoolers that will surely cause a buzz.

Personally, because of the cap strap, I think the Raps will wait a year anyways before a blow up, not much of a choice, then decide which way to go.

Question, if this squad does well, with minimal tinkering other than a player or two and drafting, will this team get a big I told you so from BC? That would be hilarious to me.

Why would we trade Gay and not the other, less talented wing player making a large salary? We've been chasing a legit small forward for so long, wouldn't it make sense to trade the wing player that can't shoot threes, has poor ball handling and is too small to play small forward regularly, especially when we have a couple other shooting guards that could easily take on the extra minutes?

None of us have any clue what Ujiri will do. Like Denver fans had no clue what he might do.

He gives Afflalo and Nene big contracts, next thing you know they are gone. He has his vision, but who knows what that vision is for the Raptors.

I should re-phrase. What I am really meaning is trading either or/and and tanking. I really couldn't care less who's traded as long as it puts us in the best chance to draft with a high pick next year.

The Cleveland Cavaliers offered the No. 1 overall pick, Tristan Thompson and Dion Waiters to the Minnesota Timberwolves for Kevin Love, according to a source.

The Wolves rejected the trade offer and hope to build around Love under Flip Saunders.

The thinking from the Cavaliers' perspective would be to pair Kyrie Irving with a legitimate All-Star in Love.

The Cavaliers have reportedly not decided on who to select first overall and also continue to look for a trade of the selection.

i would have made that deal. love's awesome, but he's missed a fair bit of games and he's not happy there. i'd obviously explore other deals of him, but it's definitely a move that makes the team better and opens up other options for the team to improve.

I would almost bet money they'd offer us the #1 pick + Thompson for a Gay package. lol

They seem to be offering that pick to everybody. lol

So two top 5 picks... and a no.1 overall, for a player who doesn't wanna be on the team.
I wanted to see the uncle drew commercial come to reality

The Brooklyn Nets are pursuing a trade for Kevin Garnett, according to sources.

Garnett is reportedly interested in playing for the Nets.

Garnett would have approved a trade from the Boston Celtics to the Los Angeles Clippers. With the Doc Rivers' deal being approved by the NBA, the Clippers and Celtics cannot exchange players until the 14-15 season.

Garnett has a no trade clause and $24.4 million over the next two seasons on his contract.

With Rivers' departure from the Celtics, the future of Garnett and Paul Pierce becomes uncertain.

I don't know if I would do that but honestly it's not a ridiculous trade.

I actually think Cleveland gets the worse part of that trade believe it or not. You were just starting to get pieces towards a winner and you want to throw 3 huge parts towards yes, the best PF in the game, but just one piece and a possibly unhealthy one. I think they should keep those building blocks, Irving + Love would be good, but not around a roster full of scrubs after that. Not to mention all of Clevelands pieces are cheap right now and save cap room for them to make a big splash soon.

Apparently the Thunder are shopping the 12th and 29th picks plus Perkins to move into the top five.
