He has flaws, but that's why he doesn't get max. In a league where Tiago Splitter gets 9 mil and Al Jefferson gets 13.5 mil, Pekovic at 12 mil is very good, he's better value.
+1, add Jordan to that list of big Al and Splitter.

The Milwaukee Bucks are nearing a four-year, $44 million extension with Larry Sanders.

Sanders will have bonuses that could push the total value to the $48 million range.

Don't you think they're over paying Larry by like 12 million or am I undervaluing him?

I think that's a lot to pay for a player that has only been a starter for one season and who isn't a scorer. Great reb/blk numbers last season but too little a sample size imo. Only 67 starts in his career....

Why? Melo is their 3rd Center, not a PF.

Its his improvement on every facet of the game that got him that contract. He now knows how to avoid fouls but still affect shots, position himself around the rim for easy dropoff passes and offensive rebounds, and most of all, he may be the best lane intimidator in the NBA currently. He deserved that contract based on his potential and what he showed last year. It's not a DeAndre Jordan situation where they gave him a contract before he learned the game. Larry proved he understood and excelled with the NBA game last year, I really doubt his production will die now that he's given a big contract.

Allen Iverson will officially announce his retirement from basketball in the coming days, according to a report citing a source close to him.

Iverson, 38, played his last professional basketball in Turkey in 2011. Before that, he appeared in his final NBA game, as a member of the Philadelphia 76ers, in 2010.

Iverson became one of the best guards in the history of the NBA with the Philadelphia 76ers -- especially given his size -- and won the NBA MVP award in 2001.

“He might be the greatest athlete I’ve ever seen,” said Larry Brown, Iverson’s coach from 1997-2003 and the current coach at SMU. “I don’t think there’ll be another one like him.

“I’m sure we faced a lot of obstacles, maybe even on a daily basis, but when it came time to play, to try to win a game, he tried to play as hard as he could for his coach.”
