no, play-wise. before last season I really disliked wall, poor shooter, not a creator, low IQ. He definitely made big strides last season, so he could live up to it. But that is a huge contract, means he's gotta be top 3-5 PG in the league. Not saying he'll be a failure, just possibly regarded as a not great value contract.

He would join a very large club.

There are more than 5 max worthy point guards in this league. Some of them are underpaid right now, like Parker or Curry or Kyrie or Rondo, but they are max worthy players. Wall doesn't have to be top 3-5 at that position to justify this contract. I don't think he even has to be an All Star every year, given the competition.

Not a creator? If you're suggesting he's a below average playmaker, you're wrong. He has a career average of 8 APG despite how crap some of those Washington teams were early on. Poor shooter I'll give you, but everybody improves their jumper in the NBA. He has potential to be Rose with CP3's passing skills. His athleticism is nuts, he's probably the quickest in the league.

I think John Wall be the next PG to score 20-10, as long as he does not get injured.

He was 1.6 APG short of that last season and he's only 22

I just remember feeling he was a bit over-rated as a rookie, it was between him and griffin for roy, most people thinking wall would get it and griffin ended being far ahead.

I remember reading a thing about rose, that earlier in his career he was getting the "wrong kind of assists." ie, driving wildly to the hoop and dumping off, amongst other types of "wrong" assist. I guess all assists are good, and of course the dump-off, done right, is great, but out of control and not doing rondo/nash/CP3 type assists, it's not as good. Very harsh judgements I accept, but that's what I saw. The slightly wild plays led to quite a high TO rate if I remember rightly.

he's improved a lot, I said that. Just not sure he's a max player. Others seem to disagree.

If Washington didn't give him the max, LA would've offered it to him or some other team and they would've had to match it so it's not really a big deal they extended him.

If they don't get a deal done soon, I'm starting to wonder if the Bucks will consider signing Mo Williams to a short deal for similar cash. Unlike Jennings, Mo would probably be happy to play as a starter for $5ish million.

I think Jennings is taking the qualifying at this point, returning to the Bucks and trying again next year. He seems out of options. Which teams could still offer him significant money and a starting job? 76ers, but that's not going to happen. Some sign and trade maybe, but i can't think of a realistic option either.

There were quite a few teams that made sense a month ago but they've all either started a tank or went in a different direction.

Metta World Peace, formerly known as Ron Artest, will change his name again this season.

"We are going to do do a name change, but I can't tell you what it is," World Peace told an interviewer with ClevverNews.

World Peace will not change his name legally, which means 'World Peace' will be on the back of his uniform with the New York Knicks.

The Sixers need to pay someone for a year to get above the salary floor. Maybe they take Jennings for a year.

If they are tanking, it would make sense to just stay under floor and pay the salary difference to the league, or maybe wait and see if someone wants to drop some salary+picks on them.

If they have Jennings-Turner-Young, they might actually win 25+games which probably would put them outside top 3 in the lottery this year.
