The Denver Nuggets have emerged as a new suitor for Mike Miller and are getting strong consideration from the small forward, according to sources.

Miller has already had meetings with the Oklahoma City Thunder and Memphis Grizzlies.

The Nuggets have promised Miller more minutes with the departures of Andre Iguodala and Corey Brewer.

Letís assume that Metta will be a model citizen and is all grown up now. Those same coaches and executives believe that will be the case. But they were also near unanimous in that they feel Metta the basketball player is near his expiration date.

I guess the only question is if Metta expires before Shumpert, one of the few Knicks who has value. Dolan is reportedly upset that Shumpert wasnít interested in working with the summer league team and wants to trade him. Shumpert, Iíve heard, isnít too crazy about the moves the Knicks have made, which could further stunt his development.

Knicks are probably one of the worst managed teams in the league.

Hopefully Grizzlies are upset with Ed Davis and they can trade him back.

If so, give them Acy since he obviously wouldn't get minutes. Lol

On a related issue, remember when it was reported BC didn't want to part with Ross in the Gay trade? So instead we sent them Davis.

Maybe that's what you mean, but that's a fine choice. We don't know who will have a better career yet. But Davis will soon want a raise, so it makes sense to choose the rookie.

Anyway, I expect Davis to be a much bigger part of the Grizzlies this year.

The Dallas Mavericks were forced to waive second-year center Bernard James on Friday, a move they were hoping to avoid, according to sources with knowledge of the decision.

I want!

Hopefully Ujiri tries to claim this guy off waivers.

I'm a sucker for culture / identity role players, and this is exactly the type of player I'd want as the 5th big on the Raptors. He will play aggressive D, get some rebounds, get some garbage points, block shots. Also, he spent 5 or 6 years in the military, including Iraq, so you know he's a grown up man and there will be no BS.

I was hoping that Ujiri might pick up Jackie Carmichael (undrafted rookie) for a similar role. But Bernard James would be even better because of maturity and NBA experience.

Good teams pursuing Mike Miller, Raps might have a chance at Bernard James.

Yes, although he probably would prefer playing in Denver unless we could offer more money which we couldn't.
