Shocker......what, no presser then?

Quentin Richardson, also acquired in the deal, will not play for the Raptors either. The team will either trade or waive him, given its glut on the wings

Otto Porter? Who the heck is that?? It seems like a 3 team race for next year's #1 pick.

Philly
Orlando
Washington

What makes you say Washington? They're closer to the playoffs than the #1 pick. That and Charlotte and Boston are more likely to be worse.

yup. they finished 11th and everyone was injured on their team. if they can stay healthy they are a possible playoff team.

We actually aren't that much better then some of the teams that people say are tanking.

Boston has a pretty meh roster, but any team with Rondo is going to win some extra games. I see them as a 5-10 team in terms of lotto.

At worst we're in the 8-10 worst team in the NBA imo. But if we remain relatively healthy (which is often an issue with us) we're probably in the middle of the league looking for a 7th-8th spot in the EC with 38-40 wins.

The Houston Rockets have agreed to terms with Aaron Brooks on a minimum contract.

The one-year deal is worth $1 million and is fully guaranteed.

Brooks has averaged 11.6 points and 3.4 assists over his five-year career, four spent with the Rockets.

Only because Otto Porter was selected like #2, and he averaged only 6 and 3 in Summer League, then pulled a hammy. Wizards are on the clock... who will they select? (Behind the scenes DC simply pushes the random rookie button) Washington doesn't want to get better, they want that #1 pick next year.

Bobcats did not make that list because Cody Zellar looks like a player, and they got Al Jefferson in free agency. The Bobcats have NEVER had a frontline, and I'm anxious to see if they can win 30 games next season.

LOL Rondo can't carry a scrub team that Boston currently has, he's not that type of player.
They'll win max 25 games.

I'm getting frustrated with the amount of quality players signing deals with EC rivals, while we're doing nothing... I want to make the playoffs dammit!

I mean, I understand our hands are tied, but it sucks that teams like BKN, CLE etc. seem to be adding talent on a daily basis, they're getting better and we aren't...

The Houston Rockets are a “leading contender” to sign Marcus Camby once he clears waivers.

Camby’s agent, Rick Kaplan, negotiated his buyout from the Toronto Raptors.

"If Marcus becomes a free agent as we expect on Sunday the Rockets are a leading contender for where he'll end up next season," Kaplan said.

"He had a very positive experience there. It's his adopted hometown. He'd be a great fit with the organization. It's premature right now. We'll see what happens in the next few days."

Camby appeared in 19 games for the Rockets during the 2011-12 season.

how could we have done any better mate!?

we had hardly any cash to play with and signed decent players to good deals in the 2 positions we needed.

Lol, I know man, but I'm more like: f.e. why does a guy like Jarrett Jack have to pick a team like Cleveland??? Stay in the Western Conf, man!!! Somewhere far away where he can't hurt us...

But no, he'll torture us (specifically lame ass Augustin) once more on a direct Eastern Conf. rival, might even cost us that 8th playoff spot. Don't we play the Cavs 4 times a year or something? Gives me nightmares... sigh.

If this is a joke, i don't get it. They are clearly not trying to tank.

Re Porter, this was an entirely new offense for him. He's a Princeton guy who's used to spending a lot of time around the post and moving off the ball all the time. Now he's asked to run and gun and he gets the ball behind the 3 pt line or in transition.

That's how the Wizards are going to play though, so it makes sense. He'll need some time to adjust, but he's a smart guy with solid fundamentals, I suspect he'll figure it out.
