Russian mafia influence

PG - Deron Williams/Shaun Livingston/Tyshawn Taylor
SG - Joe Johnson/Jason Terry
SF - Paul Pierce/Andrei Kirilenko/Tonike Shengelia
PF - Kevin Garnett/Reggie Evans/Mirza Teletovic
C - Brook Lopez/Andre Blatche/Mason Plumlee

Their bench is better than the raps starting lineup
Probably got a lil sumthin' sumthin' on the side from Prokhorov.

I can just see the Nets not having a fully functional healthy starting line-up come playoff time. I don't know. Really gunna have to rest it up during the season and still manage to get a top seed.

It's called a rebuild, the reliable way.

Kirilenko has already made over $100 mill, so losing the extra dough from Minnesota is probably not that big a deal for him.

Nets kind of like the Blazers when they had Sheed, Pippen, Smith, Damon, etc...
No big weakness. 12 solid players. No big time star in their prime as well (an yes, I don't think D Will is a top 5 PG in the league)

Prokorov is showing Cuban how real Billionaires roll. Cuban dismantled his championship team and constantly says stuff like "We're trying to stay ahead of the new CBA" and "we're trying to keep flexibility and avoid the traps of the new luxury tax penalties". Basically Cuban has tried to say that he was being smart for nuking a contender.

Marc Stein ‏@ESPNSteinLine 10m
Told Jose Calderon was part of Mavs' dinner contingent wooing Dalembert, quickly illustrating level of responsibility he'll have in Dallas

Calderon/Devin Harris/Gal Mekel/Shane Larkin
Vince/Wayne Ellington/Ricky Ledo
Marion
Dirk/Brandon Wright

That's true.

I still like that he did that, though. Some pro athletes are dealing with an INSANE amount of money, but rarely do many of them leave money on the table.

Still, I applaud what he did and like that he chose winning over $$$ - especially because it gives one more contender to potentially knock off (my personal public enemy #1) the Heat.

I knew Prok was extremely rich but I didn't know he was this ahead of the game.

Net Worths - Majority Owners

1. Paul Allen: $15 Billion (Blazers)
2. Prokorov: $13.5 Billion (Nets)
3. Micky Arison: $5.7 Billion (Heat)
4. Richard Devos: $5 Billion (Magic)
5. Stan Kroenke: $4.1 Billion (Nuggets)
6. Dan Gilbert: $3.5 Billion (Cavs)
7. Dolan Family: $3.1 Billion (Knicks)
8. Tom Gores: $2.6 Billion (Pistons)
9. Mark Cuban: $2.5 Billion (Mavs)
10. Herb Simon: $2.2 Billion (Pacers)

There are some documentaries or videos about his life/wealth, quite interesting how he made it happen

Only one or two of those teams are contenders.

An introduction to the Real AK47.

Anyway, considering that Prokhorov became a billionaire via bribes and political favours, who would really be surprised if he used some "wink wink i can't give you anything now but my friends are never sorry to be my friends down the road" negotiations tactic.
