The Minnesota Timberwolves appear to be the frontrunner to sign Ronny Turiaf.

Turiaf is a free agent after spending last season with the Los Angeles Clippers.

What's up with the Magic though, haven't heard their name in any free agent rumours, NOT ONCE! Frustrating times to be a Magic fan...

I'm sure Rihanna cries herself to sleep every night cause of the Magic's inactivity in the free agent market.... Leo Dicaprio appears to be a fan as well!?

(they probably haven't attended a game since Howard left town lol.

Oh no wait they're actually Lakers fans looool

So, a random what if scenario. What if the Pistons owner spends some money and amnesties Ben Gordon. And they don't sabotage their pick with a meaningless win streak at the end of last season. Then they'd be in the exact situation as the Pelicans. They'd have the Noel pick + their 2014, and they could easily be the team that gets Jrue Holiday.

Imagine, Holiday, Knight, Caldwell Pope, Josh Smith, Monroe and Drummond. Now that's an elite defensive team with a ton of upside.

What a shame.
Yeah, if Dumars could have put together that lineup you've got listed at the bottom of the post, Detroit would have been scary this year.

But assuming the same deal with Philly would be made available to the Pistons, Dumars would still have to dump an extra player in order for Detroit to have both Jrue and Josh Smith. If the deal with Philly is the same, then the Pistons have to absorb Jrue, which eats over $9 mill in cap space and adds that to their current payroll (putting them over the cap and creating a problem for the Smith signing earlier). I guess Dumars could have declined to guarantee Stuckey's full salary; I think it was only partially guaranteed if he was waived. I suppose that would have made more money available when they targeted Smith.

Nah, Pierce will start. Kirilenko will be a super-sub playing some 3 and 4. He just added a shitload of versatility to that lineup in late game situations, in addition to making it even easier for J-Kidd to keep the minutes down for the old farts.

I'll love watching the Nets \ next year.

I loved watching them last year, despite their game being ugly most of the time. The atmosphere / jerseys / arena were fun. And now I really like most of their players.

They are kind of Laker-ish though in terms of athleticism. But at least they should fit well offensively.

Very very interesting team. Got to give props to Prokhorov, even though he's likely paying Kirilenko 20 mil via some secret channels in Russia.

Nets got Kirilenko for dirt cheap. Didn't he opt out of 10mil?

Good point. Like you said, they'd have to sacrifice Stuckey and also the Italian guy that they signed. But they'd have enough money if they did that.

When the heck did Iggy go to the Warriors? I lost that one through all the transactions early in this summer. Golden State didn't need to get any better. This is some horse poo.

so AK47 left $10 mil to get $3 mil....
Russian mafia influence

PG - Deron Williams/Shaun Livingston/Tyshawn Taylor
SG - Joe Johnson/Jason Terry
SF - Paul Pierce/Andrei Kirilenko/Tonike Shengelia
PF - Kevin Garnett/Reggie Evans/Mirza Teletovic
C - Brook Lopez/Andre Blatche/Mason Plumlee

Their bench is better than the raps starting lineup :cookie:

Nets are stacked now. They have experienced and talented players in there second unit now as well. Having AK splitting time at the 3 and 4 allows Pierce and KG to get there usual rest.

That's what happens when you spend 100mil + 80mil in taxes.
