BTW, I wouldn't mind Robin Lopez here as a backup to JV, especially if Camby were to be waived/flipped.... just don't see a match there. He's owed 2yrs/10.5mil

Tyreke has improved a little across the board, I guess, and especially his shot selection. But 11-12 mil seems a lot for a guy who's still a below average defender or shooter. I think it's ugly if he doesn't improve further. And he's one of those risky signings that I could see relaxing after the big contract. Weight issues in the past, some health issues, mixed signals as far as his work ethic.
If he keeps improving, it could be ok. If not, it could be one of those Corey Maggette-esque deals that people use as "evidence" that DeMar isn't overpaid.

Meh. In the end, talented RFAs get overpaid, nothing very unusual.

The Minnesota Timberwolves did not waste any time reaching out to unrestricted free agent Chase Budinger on Sunday night and a new name emerged as being on the team's radar on Monday afternoon.

The Wolves inquired about small forward Alan Anderson, a source told KSTP-TV reporter and 1500ESPN.com contributor Darren Wolfson.

The 30-year-old Anderson, an unrestricted free agent, attended DeLaSalle High School in Minneapolis and is coming off a season in which he averaged a career-best 10.7 points, 2.3 rebounds and 1.6 assists in 65 games with the Toronto Raptors.

While the Brooklyn Nets remain interested in re-signing Andray Blatche, the unrestricted free agent has also received interest from the Golden State Warriors and Los Angeles Clippers.

Jason Terry will also be on their bench. He came over to the Nets with KG and Pierce.
