 And the beat goes on!!

Quote:
The city of Akron, Ohio is organizing a "LeBron Appreciation Day" for June 19.

The purpose of the event is to convince James to re-sign with the Cavaliers and "to bring together as many people as possible to send a unified message of support to our hometown hero LeBron James."

It is not known if James will attend the event.

Why wouldn't they be? lol They know if LBJ23 leaves Cleveland then the Cleveland area sucks....big time. LeBron James is the only thing Cleveland has to look to(unless they follow the Buckeye. Go Bucks!).

The city sucks and is trash
Their MLB team Indians suck
Their NFL team Browns suck
If LBJ23 leaves then their NBA team Cavs suck

No LeBron James = Nothing for them. lol

Not only that but they know if LBJ23 leaves they have no shot to bring in a star player unless they get lucky in the draft but then that guy would leave soon anyways. Basically they could go from selling out every game to only less then 50% attendance.

Trust me.. Lebron would rather play in Miami than a boring Cleveland full of factories. In fact, he would rather play in any other city.

There is a huge difference dude. Toronto is a great city. Cleveland is crap(that is putting it nice). They're nothing. LeBron James is really keeping that city alive. Without him its a piece of sh!t. With him they at least look forward to LBJ6/23(whatever # he is going to be). Also with LeBron James Cavs are a title contender. Raptors don't have the team built even with Bosh to be that.

If I was in Cleveland or a Cavs fan I would do everything I could to keep him also. He is the best player in the NBA. I would give him the key to the city. lol

If you think this is bad....just wait. lol

WESTLAKE -- Several groups who want LeBron James to stay in Cleveland after he becomes a free agent July 1 will hold a rally at 7:30 p.m. June 10 at Crocker Park.

LeBron James news from across the web

The rally coincides with Crocker Park's free weekly Thursday night "Movie in the Park" event and that night's 9 p.m. movie with be LeBron James' "More than a Game."

Joining the rally is Kent State University junior Austin Briggs, of Cleveland Heights, who kicked off his own "Keep LeBron James in Cleveland" campaign Feb. 6.

Briggs has repainted and updated a 1987 Cutlass Supreme, transforming it into a mobile "petition" that fans can sign starting June 11 in the lobby of the former Higbee building on Public Square in downtown Cleveland.

Briggs also has a website -- PleaseDontLeave23

Other groups and fan clubs at the June 10 rally will include PleaseStayLBJ and the Grandmothers Fan Club.

The evening will end with the 9 p.m. showing of "More than a Game," which follows LeBron and other members of the Fab 5 from elementary school, through high school and beyond.

Just more events to keep him in Cleveland. There will be lot of more. lol

was listening to 97.1 and James was here at a event in Ohio just recently. They said tons of women and kids were crying telling him to come back. One dude pick his 7 year old up so James could see him and the kid was wearing a James jersey and crying for him to stay in Cleveland.

truly a sad story... i'm not being sarcastic

how empty are these people's lives if they so much obsessed with person they have nothing in common with other than place of birth

that what media does...it distracts ppl from real life problems

glad in canada we don't have such problems... here i'm being sarcastic again

because he's a back to back MVP
because you're guaranteed playoff dates
because getting him will sell out your arena for years
because your franchise will get mucho national TV dates
because your franchise will see a big growth of ad dollars
because your franchise value will grow
