carp 11-22-2011 09:10 PM

raps could use a shooter

forme123 11-23-2011 08:24 PM

yeap with his value low and his worth quietly growing, raps shud pick him up for a bargain deal....start him on the bench to keep him motivated, and watch him reach to the top.....nba championship here we come :dancing::dancing::dancing:

Its not really hate, its more of a fun type thing than hate. Just the things he does sometimes is pretty funny.. for example when jimmy kimmel roasted him even Kobe thought it was funny.

Morrison and J.J. Redick were hailed as the "white" saviors of the NBA coming out of college....then they sh!t the bed.

Methinks Morrison believed the hype. Heck, a lot of people did.

Who was hyping them as this? Seriously.

The two of them were EVERYWHERE pre-draft. Espn, magazine covers, TV docs, etc.

I'd never seen such hype for two NCAA players of the year.

Many people were even putting them #1 and #2 in the draft at various times.

A little reading between the lines going on....

they had fantastic college careers.... it wasn't just based on nothing.... and it's not like Adam Morrison was the only white guy in the draft.... Was Jimmer Fredette marketed similarly? Reading between the lines has led you away from acknowledging their stellar college careers as being the major reason, not their skin colour.

In fact, maybe you're right... maybe Kevin Durant got screwed because he wasn't as black as Oden.... it all makes sense now. Good thing we have Blake Griffin as the new white hype!

it's never something as simple as that, even with players who really are hyped and tbh, morrison doesn't look like someone who'd get all caught up in that sort of thing.

i gotta be honest and say i don't know much about how his career has gone, apart from that he hasn't lived up to expectations obviously, but it bugs me a bit when people try to look for easy answers like that.

could be a whole multitude of events and circumstances, that combine and make things harder. injuries, not getting on with team-mates, not getting on with the coach, not fitting in with the system, just finding that step-up in class has a BIG effect on ur game (like the opposite of guys who aren't awesome at college level but then find their niche in the NBA,) not having the right personality for the big leagues. Or could be just having a bad start to your career in the NBA and then not being able to rise up out of that, letting it affect your confidence. could be one of those, more than one, or indeed, there could be tons of other factors i've not thought of.

Easy there, son. I didnt take anything away from their college careers.

It was just my interpretation of what I was reading and seeing everywhere. These two guys being hyped everywhere I looked.

It is far too nice of you to think of me as a son.....

the great white hype isn't a myth. nba scouts have been looking for the next larry bird for the last 20 years. the issue is, they have him, but he's not american enough.
