Aaron Brooks Could Re-Sign With Phoenix Suns This Season After Successful Run In China - SB Nation Arizona

casey said he wanted experienced guys that can play

why not sign this guy

reminds of a similar situation we had in 06 with ford and calderon

brooks/calderon
derozan/barbosa
johnson/kleiza
bargnani/ davis
amir/ jonas,gray,magloire

thats 10 deep

those are players i know we'll have, then adding brooks

i'll let bc add the draft pick and free agents

if by some miracle we land a future allstar in the draft, this team is actually set to win a crap load of game and the rebuild could be over sooner than we think

we should make brooks a no 1 target in free agency

another thing is if we don't qaulify bayless we save 4 million, we throw in another 6 million and we got brooks, plus calderons contract will end in two years, so that money will come off in a couple of years, so we'll only be spending 20 mill on pg play for two years

I've heard the Raps are interested in him. If we can get him and either Batum or Chandler this team would be great to watch next season.

I dunno, he was an Oregon Duck, and the Blazers are desperate for a dependable outside shooter not named Batum or Aldridge.

Unless DeRozan can become a much better defender, then I'm not sure I'd invest heavily in a smallish scoring pg..... those seem to be much better suited as backups. If we wanted a guy like that, I'd rather inquire about jonny flynn who could likely be had in trade relatively cheap and also wouldn't come with as high a price tag as Brooks either.

I think Bayless is gone this trade window.... so maybe a guy like Brooks would be a good backup for cheap.

He'll be a starter somewhere and he won't be that cheap imo. I say he ends up staying in Phx if Nash isn't back next season. Beyond that, I could see Toronto being in the mix.

Yeah, I agree... but I hope he's not a starter here. He's too small and I'm just tired of undersized players.

This guy was a great starter for the Rockets when they were a playoff team without Mcgrady and lost Yao in the playoffs..he is more than likely to start for a team when he resigns to the NBA, unless the team has an allstar pg already.

I doubt he'd sign anywhere where there's an all-star PG in place. He'll be looking for a location where he can start. And here might be one of those locations if BC doesn't see Jose here long term beyond this season.

I don't see him bringing any team over the top or close to contention.
