The 5 Most Underrated Players in the Association

There are tons of guys that get the label as underrated. Which 5 players to you deserves more attention and spotlight for their talent? Post the 5 most underrated players by position, as of today.

I'll get the ball rolling on this one...

C: Troy Murphy

Double double guy that can drain 3's. Yet it seems like he doesn't exist or something

PF: Luis Scola (Honourable Mention:Udonis Haslem)
Hell of a post player

SF: Gerald Wallace
Plays D with KG-esque intensity

SG: Manu Ginobili
Although injuries slowed him down last year. He's as solid as they come

PG: Tony Parker (Honourable Mention: Andre Miller)
When you're the best player on the Spurs and a finals MVP. It should be a crime to underrate this guy. I have a feeling he's going to torch tons of point guards this year.

I wouldnt say neither of Parker or Manu are underated at all.

100% agree with you. Parker and Manu are creditted for winning championchips, and they're all stars so....i wouldn't say they're underrated.

Parker and Ginobili arent underrated. Manu is widely regarded as the Spurs x factor and they only have a chance of winning it if hes healthy. When he is healthy hes often the closer for the Spurs not TP.

DWill is definately underrated. He should get a lot more notoriety for being a top 10 player in the NBA.

Parker is very underrated by Raptors fans and rated about right by Cavs fans. Hes going to have a great year playing off of Lebron.

Other underrated guys:

Marvin Williams(is good at every aspect of the game and gets overlooked too often)

Perkins(should be regarded as a top 5 post defender in the league, and only getting better at the other aspects)

Bell(3 pt shooting, defence, toughness, leadership), Conley(he'd be a lot better playing in a system without ball dominant wings)

Durant(gets bad rep because hes on bad team, but numbers and his play do not lie, hes easily a top 15 player on the rise to be top 10 once the year is through, and by the end of his career should be known as one of the better scorers of all time)

Garcia(like Raja, very very solid player for any team)

Mike Miller(so many aspects to his game and he can mesh with any playing style and with any kind of role, very underrated playmaker, and hes one of the best 3 pt shooters in the NBA).

Andrei Kirilenko... Small forward that is a shot blocker.. has a 3, and court vision like a point guard.

SG - Brandon Roy (maybe the most underrated star in the league)
SF - Marvin Williams
PF - Luis Scola
C - Joel Przybilla or Kendrick Perkins

Because people think Carter and Bosh are good... when they are actually great.

Shaq/Amare/ the media etc. rip on Bosh. But he's a top 10 player in the league imo and because most people think he isnt... I consider him underrated.

is it that complicated?

bosh has a long way to go before he is even considered "great", hes a 4 time allstar....so how the hell is he underrated....guys like mehmet okur are underrated....and Vince had be compared to MJ earlier in his career and was one of the most recognizable faces in the nba, so i dont see how he is underrated...and Carter like Bosh couldnt lead a team, therefore they are not great....but Bosh still has the potential to be great but at this moment Bosh isnt great.....

Battier is very underrated. He is competent on offense but his defense and hustle are the sort of things championship teams need.

But Windex thinks he is over rated.

Ask the SPurs how they "rate" him.

I don't know man.... At least among the people that I talk to about ball we all have a healthy respect for Manu.

I wouldn't say he is overrated...but I would say no way he is underrated.
