Default 2011: Year of the Point Guard

Think about all the up and coming point guards in the league! This is quickly becoming a PG oriented game!

- Chris Paul
- Deron Williams
- Steve Nash
- Derrick Rose
- Rajon Rondo
- Russel Westbrook
- Devin Harris
- Gilbert Arenas?

Then you have guys that could be huge stars next year:
- Brandon Jennings
- Stephen Curry
- John Wall
- Evan Turner
- Ron Beaubois
- George Hill

You still have couple of guys who are great players in:
- Jason Kidd
- Chauncey Billups
- Tony Parker

There are potentially a lot of very very good point guards around next year.

agree, would love tem to load up on some 2011 expirings just for that fact, get some solid youth in place, grow for a season let them play tones take your 2011 lotto pick and go after one of these floor generals in 2011.

And the thing is I think that deals are available to nab some of that capspace as well.

Turk/Evans for Jefferson/Dunleavy
Jose for Curry and Chandler
Bosh for Bynum and Sasha

sets team up with about 20 million under cap in 2011

with a pf, center and a winger all used to playing together and probably a lotto pick

Just another reason we desperately need to unload Caldy. He can't keep up with these guys and he will get burned.

Having a guy who can at least make lives difficult for them is essential. I think Jack can be enough of a nuisance to bog these guys down. He can't STOP them, but he can try to make them pass more/take harder shots.

Caldy has no chance.

this year there are no big time PG's other than Bledsoe and Wall
we could take a 2nd rounder in Ranlde, Collins or Nemanja Bjelica

Turner will more likely be a SF then a PG. He played PG for Ohio State cause the Buckeyes had no PG but he is more of a SF then a PG. Some team could try to have him play PG at the NBA level but I doubt he does.

This is an interesting draft while in any draft there are the obvious and the near obvious.
Because of the sheer number of players available because of so many players opting out early.

I believe there are a number of gems after number 60 since Miami gets our 2nd round pick. Would have every point guard not drafted checked and look for this years Jennings, Rondo, Dragic .

This thread brought back disturbing images of Calderon getting fornicated up the butt every night by all these point guards

I wasn't implying that...what I intended and how it was interpreted are different.

However, thank you for your wonderful contribution. It certainly upped the stakes for all the other people out there that wonder if they have what it takes to come up with witty insightful posts.

Keep leading the way champ!

Jonny Flyinn will explode too.
This guy has so much upside. He could be an awesome PG.
