Post 2010 Prospects

As HoopsHype.com sees it early on:

1. John Wall
2. Derrick Favors
3. Willie Warren
4. Cole Aldrich
5. Donatas Motiejunas
6. Ed Davis
7. Evan Turner
8. Al-Farouq Aminu
9. John Henson
10. Greg Monroe

HoopsHype - NBA Draft 2010

Some big kids set to declare this off-season. I'm counting four or five 7 footers.

If you remember, Willie Warren, Cole Aldrich, Ed Davis, Al-Faroug Aminu and Greg Monroe were all players who were thought to declare in 2009 but bailed.

Why is that? This is about potential NBA prospect and I'm pretty sure there are prospects in this list who are not college players. I don't think a Donatas Motiejunas discussion in there would be on topic.

I think because College ball talk / Prospect talk doesn't get much love until maybe march or so. If we combine all the threads at least we get some posters chatting. Right now the NCAA thread could use some love and to add the draft with it maybe we get some good convo going

true, just thinking about compacting topics so stuff is easier to find

I'll keep and eye on Motiejūnas, he's playing for Benetton Treviso (previous team of Garbajosa and Bargs)

Yeah and I'm sure Colangelo has been watching him like a hawk. He might look good next to Bargnani should Bosh elect to bail on the Raptors. Perhaps Colangelo could somehow parlay such a decision into a multi-team deal that lands a top five pick? Who knows, but it fun to think about all the what ifs. Ed Davis and John Wall are very interesting prospects as well. I think Davis should be higher on this board.

Favors is better than Davis
Motiejunas is a left handed Bargnani

To me, Montiejunas' game is subject to more comparison with Dirk's than Bargs'. He has Dirk's ball-handling skill, mobility, and athleticism. But he's still seems pretty frail. IMO, Bargs is more like a center version of Peja Stojakovic.

I just ment a 7 footer with range that can't defend
no one can compare to Dirk yet, remember people comparing Bargs to him
