I really, really though they'd make a push for Steve Blake in the past off season. It would've made perfect sense.

Even if they use Miller as a facilitator or try to use him in that role, I just don't know if he has that ability to get everyone the necessary touches on offence and control and calm down the offense. That's what impressed me about Rondo early on is how he led that team in offense in his 2nd year and why Boston is so dangerous.

For me, it's still Wade and LeBron taking turns on iso and then kicking out to Bosh or whomever is open. The ball movement is minimal.

I know this may sound crazy, but if IT doesn't work, I'd trade Wade for Paul in a heartbeat. Anyways, now I'm sounding crazy.

HOUSTON -- The Miami Heat spent more than 38 hours on their team jet and flew more than 31,000 miles in December. That’s a long month, though it probably never seemed like it because everything is easier when a team is winning, including the travel.

With their frenetic 125-119 victory over the Houston Rockets on Wednesday night, the Heat completed a highly improbable feat by sweeping the 10 road games on their December schedule. They became the first team in league history to go 10-0 away from home in a calendar month.

It included two separate trips to the West Coast, a victory over the Los Angeles Lakers, a win over the New York Knicks and snapping the Rockets’ eight-game home winning streak. The Heat won four of the games on the second night of back-to-backs, which is harder than it sounds. They took a game in each time zone. And they had that Dec. 2 win in Cleveland in an environment that was as intense as you’ll see in American sport.

Now all they need to do is win every single game from now on to break the 72-10 season record and the 33 (I think) winning streak record.

Please elaborate on what they would laugh at. It looks pretty straight forward to me. It's an event centered on celebrity culture. The tour idea seems pretty ridiculous, but probably makes the whole thing work.

I'm not saying it's great or anything. I'm just not understanding why it would be deemed as laughable by a sponsor. The whole celebrity culture disgusts me, but it's there and it's proven to be profitable, as appalling as it is.

perhaps he was referring to the idea that sponsors may not be too interested in celebrating a 'celebrity' who's public profile has plummeted like a stone over the last 6 months or so. or maybe they'll laugh at the weak-ass powerpoint slides that look like they were done by a high school kid. or maybe they'll laugh at putting $10000 towards what is essentially a closed party. or maybe banking on an athlete's dinner party road show seems risky. or maybe they're just not sure how a-list this would be... lots of reasons to question this and laugh at it, imo...

I'd like to think much of that would be true, but I doubt that it is. The trend from Oprah's rise onwards shows that money goes to stupid shit regardless of how laughable or disgusting. And when we laugh or express disgust, we probably just play into the whole dynamic. The whole thing about the royal court is actually apropos. We are basically powerless serfs in the big picture. Tuning out altogether is about the only way to go, and that is a very different conclusion from what I have looked to for most of my life.

Everything you said applies to what I was thinking when I shared this w/yall, but what I bolded stood out at the forefront of my mind.

Like when you look at the 1st slide, it juss looks like an advertisement for a regular adult urban lets be classy hip-hop party. Nothing worthy of sharing n all.

But then it juss gets more silly unto laughing as you go along. 'Amazingly chic,' 'celebrity lounge,' 'attracting an elite crowd' (they bolded it, I'm juss quoting!), then what Thought here quoted, then calling a hotel 'ultra sexy' (I mean I like looking at the fancy hotels downtown in my city, but I don't exactly get aroused when lookin at'em), then 'private extravagant gatherings', VIP seating along walls (WTF?) and then claiming it makes for an 'intimate vibe,'......and that's juss lookin at the first few slides! It actually gets more ridiculous as you go further, not at all ending w/Lebitch in his chique-nerd look.

To me, the whole thing basically drips w/pretention, and desperately screams "Please help me build up my prestige wherein I can rub shoulders w/Brad Pitt and Donald Trump, and thus be invited to all the hot spot parties, which should also all be conveniently arranged wherein there's no conflict w/my NBA schedule."

That's the vibe I got from it. Like it totally goes beyond the standard cock-suckery of today's celeb culture, LX.

LeBron is like Apple stock in 2001 right now - buy while it's still low, because it's going to go straight up! His popularity may be low, but smart sponsors will be lining up to pump a 2x MVP, still healthy and in his prime. Kobe won't be able to hold onto the limelight forever, especially with Phil Jackson again talking about retirement this summer.

Unfortunately Lebron James is a professional basketball player and probably doesn't have the patience or time to be a wizard with powerpoint. Consequently, he has to rely on the Powerpoint talents of others.

I've been trying to make a powerpoint presentation for my Mom for the past two months, and I just can't do it. Every time I start my first couple of slides suck balls. I love Excel, Outlook. Word. I can fool around on all those Office programs. Work projects, personal projects they all come out great. But Powerpoint...Is it even possible to create a presentation on Powerpoint that doesn't come across as completely lame?

Nonetheless, this presentation wasn't worthy of the King and it deserves it's share of critisicm. I'm sure Lebron himself was not to happy with a presentation that was anything but "fit for a King".

I personally find it hard laughing at any Powerpoint presentation, but the smart and dumb alike are still itching to laugh at anything the King does.

Everything in Miami is sexy. They have a sex museum in Miami. Now if Lebron had held a party at some spot in Cleveland that was referred to as ultra-sexy, that would be hilarious. If I called my self ultra-sexy, that would be hilarious (because clearly I'm uber-sexy).

What kills me about this shit is that the ultra-sexy-super-rich get swag bags filled with expensive shit. These guys have too much money to know what to do with. And then if they think of something they might like to spend it on, well chances are they are getting it for free in some swag bag. We are the consumers. They are the consumed. Money is just there for them to keep score.

Udonis Haslem is set for a late March return, earlier than anticipated. Gives him some time to get back into game shape and hopefully the rotation, we'll need his toughness and rebounding in the Playoffs.

I just hope that we don't play him or Bosh together too much.

He's not really going to get a chance to mesh into any rotation unless matchups call for it. He could be helpful as the playoffs stretch out into later rounds against bigger teams.
