Bosh has to stop trying to be just solid. He needs to be great.

I just hope the new CBA won't bail Miami out. If they take out the MLE, then it will be interesting to see how they'll be able to stay competitive. And let's not forget that this season they got some veterans to sign for less, buying into the hype and hoping for an easy ring. Might not be so easy next season, if they don't turn it around. And they have no young talent in the pipeline, no draft picks, nothing.

Right now the only thing that sucks is that we've traded the Miami pick and it might eventually turn out to be a big mistake if it ends up around #20.

The Heat are going to win on Thursday though. Which is a very depressing thought.

@tomhaberstroh: "How that 'game within 5 points' stat can be misleading: Heat within 2 with 3:36 left. Heat let another one slip away."

Does anyone know what this means? 82games.com uses this to define "clutch":

"4th quarter or overtime, less than 5 minutes left, neither team ahead by more than 5 points"

This is kind of ambiguous...anyone know what it means?

I don't believe it was either. Say whatever you want about Chris leaving Toronto, but one thing that always stood out to me about him is that he has never given a fuck about what people say about him. And he's been through worse losing skids too.

Same thing for DWade. Anyone remember how bad his 07-08 team was, and that coming 2yrs after winning a title? And even before that, the very next year after his championship year, his team got swept in the 1st Rd by the Kirk Hinrich-lead Bulls. When Chris & DWade have lost NBA games, they never lost NBA respect. Compare that w/how Lebitch exited in '08, '09, and '10.

Now lets talk about maturity. Both Chris and DWade have continually shown that they have it in abundance. Compare that to Lebitch, who when push comes to shove, continually comes off as an arrogant and pretentious teenager, even though he's freakin 26yrs old now (another thing to consider, when thinking about how fucked up the NBA has become, is that Lebitch talks even worse smack to the refs than Dwight Howard, and yet never gets called for techs. This is something serious to ponder upon).

To further illustrate, both Chris and DWade's character and offcourt interests allow them room to not only have space for them in NBA circles, but they also have continual opportunities to 'rub shoulders' with America's elite in mainstream entertainment (as in, something other than pretentious rappers like gay-z and Kanye) and business. OTOH, Lebitch makes pretentious and funny pitches to have the same thing, and gets clowned by 'video vixens' that he steps to in clubs.

W/all that in mind, I'm sure it was Lebitch whom Coach Spoelstra was talking about. Coach Spoelstra also has no loyalty to Lebitch, and I'm sure Pat Riley and Micky Arison feel the same (so if it indeed was DWade crying, I'm sure Spo and co. would be sensitive enough to not embarrass him; DWade is a true competitor anyways who embraces NBA challenges, unlike Lebitch).

As for the others, I think they were Mike Bibby, who may earn the nickname 'Bad luck Bibby,' as he's given up both his next year's salary AND respect among all levels of NBA circles, all for a team that seems to have gotten worse w/his arrival even though he's a good player.

My 3rd nomination is Eddie House, who I used to think his time w/Boston taught him veteran leadership, but now appears to be the exact antithesis of what Pat Riley & co. look for in NBA point guards, especially since Pat had him before. Eddie comes off as someone who is bitter that he never got NBA success akin to his college success, is willing to blame others for his lack of success instead of blaming his inflated ego & one-dimensional game (he's not even that good of a shooter; he's juss someone who gets hot once in a while), and gets emotional over stuff during NBA games that stars never do.

So yeah, the smart money is on saying the cryers Coach Spo were referring to were Lebitch, 'Bad Luck Bibby,' and Eddie 'Brick' House.

wow they're really giving it to Bosh in the post-game interview. They're basically telling Bosh that he sucks balls.

ATLANTA (AP) -- An Atlanta nightclub is suing Miami Heat star LeBron James, accusing him of reneging on a promise to make a one-hour appearance later this month.

this fanboy was able to see that Bosh wasn't anything close to being the primary defender on Aldridge last night. The dude had a terrrible game, but he was hardly responsible for Aldridge going off. He slowed him down if anything. But hey - you're right again!

I could see Boston, OKC and SAS all taking out the Lakers in the playoffs.

Bosh wants more shots. Wade wants better rotations and the coach to sub better.

These players orchestrated their off seasons and made this team. Now they want to coach it as well.

When was the last time Kobe came out and criticized Jackson? Did Jordan or Duncan ever say a word?

Welcome to the new NBA, folks. Where the chickens run the roost.

Default Another Bosh is a tool thread

"It is common sense, we can talk about it, but I think it's evident," Bosh said. "I just have to get it where I'm effective. I'm a big man. I can shoot the ball but I'm a big man. So I have to get it where big guys get it. Then I feel I can start helping out this team more."

what the hell does he want? he's not effective down low. he needs the ball out on the elbow to be effective. dude doesn't even understand his own strengths.

edit: it's also hard to get the ball down low when a two-guard has no trouble pushin you off the block.

the lakers are hot because they're taking advantage of their size, and no one in the league can match up with that size, save for maybe OKC. boston put itself at a huge disadvantage when it got rid of Perk, and San Antonio's front line of Blair and Duncan just isn't long enough. The Lakers are a more talented team than OKC but the THunder have all the matchups to pull the upset. The Lakers had trouble putting away the THunder last year, even when Perk wasn't in the picture.

The guy is delusional. All he talks about is his offence... needing the ball in the low post? Ha.
Makes excuses for his rebounding numbers....
He just doesn't get it.
