08-09 Celtic-Greatest in history?

19 straight wins-Franchise record
27-2-best record for any team with only 2 loses.

Anyone think they can beat either the Lakers record of 33 straight wins or the Bulls record of 72-10?

I certainly hope that trashtalking group of Massholes dont break either.

You are suppose to admire and envy exceptional teams...I hate the Celtics.

I hate their announcers and their total hommerism. I hate Paul "Tanking" Pierce and his squirrelly whine. I hate KG and his "Moses" routine.

I hate the organization for going way over the cap to buy a team.

I hate the Celtics and all they represent.

I think that 33 straight wins will be a tall order to fill.... but 72-10 is a definite possibility IMO.

This team has exactly the same killer instinct that MJ's Bulls had. They don't let up... ever.

I think they lose on Christmas and I'm still waiting for Allen/Pierce/Garnett to get injured.

I predict they'll go 68-14

I think it's nice that the Celts are doing so well.

KG, PP and Ray must be really happy with what they have going, any I hope they take it as far as they can.

It just makes for great storylines over the course of the season.

And drop the first round....
Hey...it's not impossible in the 2 rounds the went to game seven and almost lost to Cleveland!

They arent the greatest ever because as tough as their bench is, theyre lacking in the talent department. They have an absolutely fantastic starting 5 and team overall on both sides of the ball(unlike last year where their offence struggled A LOT), but they only have 2 semi proven guys off the bench in House and Powe, as Allen and Big Baby are still unproven though improving.

Their defence may rank among the top 5 all time, but team wise theyd have to shore up their bench a bit with pieces that fit chemistry wise and talent wise.

I think theyd give some of the top teams of all time a run for their money but theyd lose in the end because of their lack of depth.

I also dont think theyll beat either record, its way too tough in todays NBA. Eventually theyre gonna go on the long road trips again and theyre gonna lose 2/5 or 6, the top level talent is too good for Boston to go like 36-5 on the road.

With the age of the "Big 3" theres no way they will get the amount of rings needed to be considered. Perhaps one of the best for a year or 2, but nobody really makes polls for that. Also, they didnt dominate in the playoffs last year, in fact they strugged in the 1st two rounds.

Does anyone remember when the KG trade was first announced, there were lots of people who were initially rooting for the Celtics to win because all three stars had paid the price for years of service in the NBA without a championship ring?

How much are they despised now?

I like Ray Allen, but I wouldn't piss in KG or Pierce's ears if their brains were on fire.

The league is so watered down now that they'll never be considered the greatest no matter what they accomplish.
