Who will transition to be the best "pure" PG?

NBA Playbook Making The Transition From Shot Dominant Lead Guard To A True Point Guard

Quote:

Maybe one of the most interesting aspects of this draft is the number of lead guards who not only dominated their teams’ possessions in college, but also took a large number of their teams’ shots. For whatever reason, all of these players are going to be forced to go from bringing the basketball up and looking for their own shot in college to being more of a “pure” point guard in the fact that they will be running an offense and looking to set up their teammates.
Knight is not in the list, but you see the writer is skeptical about the likelihood of Walker and Fredette becoming good at running an offense in the typical way that an NBA PG does so.

i see kemba beign very able to being a point guard. second to irving in this draft. hes a leader, and will make others around him better. hes smart with the ball, doesnt miss a beat, and will take the shot when need be. my only problem with drafting kemba is there will be a showdown between derozan and kemba for leader of the group. if kemba becomes the leader, it could slow down DD's development.

There is always room for more than one leader. DeRozan's development can handle that, and should be helped considerably by any addition that helps to cement some sense of a team.
