i really hope we get #1 or #2. Irving and Williams will probably be gone at #3.

Exclamation Harrison Barnes To Return To UNC For Sophomore Season

Quote:
"As an 18-year old, I'm in the early stages of my life journey," Barnes says. "I'm honored and blessed for the chance to play in the NBA. And because of my family, teachers, passion, and work, I have the ultimate dream of one day playing and experiencing a fulfilling career in the NBA.

"Opportunities, both beneficial and life changing, can seem to make the next phase of my journey an easy decision. But I am a student-athlete at the University of North Carolina. I'm here to experience college life, grow as a person, receive a quality education, and be part of the greatest basketball family in college sports.

"The experiences I've enjoyed on and off the court will be invaluable. These experiences will help fuel my journey in the NBA and beyond.

"I look forward to meeting the challenging journey in the NBA, but my decision on November 13, 2009, still holds true. I'm focused on being a student-athlete. And my decision is to continue this part of my journey at the University of North Carolina.

"As a team, we're preparing for a special season. My off-season plans are to diligently work on honing my basketball skills in all areas with one team-goal in mind -- to bring the 2012 national championship home to UNC."

"I am of course excited to have Harrison back on our team next year,' says head coach Roy Williams. "It has been a true pleasure to coach him and I look forward to coaching him again next season. He had a difficult decision to make. He really had no wrong decision to choose, but I believe he is coming back to school because he enjoys college basketball, he enjoys the University of North Carolina and he enjoys his teammates. If he had decided to leave for the NBA, that would have been okay, too, because he will always be a Tar Heel. But it will certainly be a lot of fun to coach him again."

I'd take Biyombo before I take Kemba Walker. Big men with those defensive instincts and mobility don't come around often.

This, I'm REALLY high on Biyombo. Dood has everything we need right now and he's only 18.

Brandon Knight if Irving not available

Good size for PG
Excellent defender
Good shooting range and no problem in creating own shot
Can penetrate to the hoop
Hard worker and competitor

Kentucky's Brandon Knight, Terrence Jones and DeAndre Liggins have declared for the NBA draft, the school announced on Wednesday.

None of the three has hired an agent or announced plans to do so.

Coach John Calipari said he supported the three players exploring the possibilty of entering the NBA.

"They were a joy to coach this year and I would love the opportunity to continue to coach them again next season," Calipari said in a statement released by the school. "I will always support my players in weighing their options and doing what is personally best for them and their families."

6-4 190lbs PG. I got to watch a lot of him at Michigan although I hate them. Needs to work on his jump shot and going to his left. His two biggest weaknesses right there. Talent prospect. A lot of people believe if he came back to UM for one more year he could become a lottery pick.

Did you get a chance to watch much of Alec Burks this year? Personally, I liken him more to Jamal Crawford, but many compare him to Evan Turner. As someone who watched plenty of Turner, what do you think of that comp?

Having shooting guard like Burks with the ability to dribble and create his own shot would be great for the Raps. His only knock is his jump shot. Turner had a tough rookie year because he had no J, and Collins gave Meeks alot of minutes. One scout said that Burks had trouble with players with "elite athlecism" He'll be facing those players every game in the NBA. Also, one executive questioned Burk's workout dedication. After two years in college, he has the same body in year one. However, the biggest red flag I read is his defensive effort:

"He has to stop ignoring the defensive end of the floor. "There's no pride in doing it yet," says a Northwest Division executive.

"He has no interest," the first Northwest scout said of Burks. "He won't go under, through, or behind (screens)...Something tells me (the work ethic) is not off the charts because he hasn't worked on his body at all. But the holes in his game are fixable."
