Player you least want to see us draft?

No consensus pick for us yet, but out of all the names mentioned who do you NOT want to see us select at number 5?

cloudnine 06-20-2011 01:14 AM

Jan Vesely. Walking bust.

finstock 06-20-2011 01:24 AM

Vesely scares me the most. He leaps and runs the floor extremely well, but his fundamentals, at the age of 21, are substandard. And then there are the question marks on the other end. Is he strong enough to guard 4s, laterally quick enough to guard 3s?

Kirby 06-20-2011 01:34 AM

Vesely for all the reasons oneironaught listed, then Bismack Biyombo because he seems to be such a liability on offense, which his bad hands contribute to. He's only 6'9" and the Raptors have enough PFs..

Dutches 06-20-2011 01:39 AM

I picked Biyombo but Vesely and him are both equally losing.

Valenciunas intrigues me but I really don't want another Euro esp. with his ridiculous buyout attached.

WALKER or KNIGHT!

Windex 06-20-2011 01:39 AM

I'm ok with Knight, Kanter or Walker

The rest are reaches and would be disappointed if any were taken with the 5th

Same. I feel a lot better about the idea of drafting Kemba or Kanter than I did 2-3 weeks ago. Kanter will be gone, so I hope to see Knight or Kemba selected.

Shifty.py 06-20-2011 02:31 AM

I don't want Byombo at 5, but I don't want Vesely at all.
Knight
Valanciunas
Kanter
Walker
Buyombo
Leonard
Vesely

I wish people would fucking at least read some basic things on the prospect before posting bullshit. Him being 6ft 9 doesn't mean bullshit when his standing reach is the tallest in the NBA (or top 3). On top of that he is EXTREMELY explosive. The offense doesn't matter because we never had prob offensively, but there is no saying he wont get better. He's still extremely young.

I voted Kanter but I don't really want Vesely either. Kanter looks like a worse version of Bargs with a slight better D/Reb and has a history of injuries. I don't think he'll make as much of an impact as Bismack.

I agree. I don't people understand that he is only 18 years old! This also means (not likely) that he might be able to grow a little bit. He started playing the game very late in his life and you can clearly see he has an amazing feel for the game. You can't teach natural talent and that is one thing that is very important about Biyombo. You seem to know exactly what your getting at the moment, compared to other big man projects. The offensive game is something he can develop over time and there is no way that he will be as bad as reggie...

jeffb 06-20-2011 06:47 AM

Vesely, then Valanciunas, Biyombo. Beyond that, let's GO.

Yeah, in full rebuild mode let's nab an 18yr old we know little about on the basis that he may grow. You do that if you grab a later pick imo.

weswo 06-20-2011 07:06 AM

Yeah same for me no vesely or the other euro kid valblahblah or biyombo...pls no more projects...perfect world kemba or knight and pick up the 4th and get kanter and get rid of bargs...I think any young rebounding and semi scoring centre/pf would bring more then bargs at this point

You do that in a later pick if you have a prob on O which we don't. He can do what everything we need right now absolutely fine (other than 3pt shooting)

Don Vito 06-20-2011 07:31 AM

Jan Vesely smh..........

Thug 06-21-2011 09:37 AM

Looks like the majority of RF has voted Vesely.
