If you have the first overall pick, do you offer it up for Demar? lol

You also realize that Nik is canadian/Lithuanian, but barely lithuanian. I think they only think lithuaninan about him is his blood. lol

He is only first generation Canadian (both of his parents are Lithuanians), he previously played for Toronto "Ausra" Canadian-Lithuanian team, so he probably has Lithuanian friends and is able to communicate at least a little bit in Lithuanian as well. I wouldn't be surprised if he also attended Lithuanian community school in Canada where he learned the basics about his parents country.

That's not the point though. The guy was saying that you shouldn't trade Demar for a pick because they haven't played any games yet. Regardless of whether its a 1st overall or another top 10, that's untrue.

Bobcats get the Blazers 1st round pick this summer. So I haven't had to pay much attention to college prospects.

I know I've been hard on GRIII but have to give him props. The past 6 games, he has really stepped up his game and playing the best basketball he has ever played.

DraftExpress: Mock Draft

2014 Mock Draft | NBADraft.net

Pick your poison of websites. Not liking draftexpress for the exclusion of the Harrison's at the moment.

Around our spot, hoping to see Ennis, LaVine or Stauskas fall. If not, around 20, Shabazz Napier and Jerami Grant are both good picks! Lots to work with down there IMO.

2nd rounder... Aaron Harrison seems like a steal. Like the idea of 7' 3" Tavares and leaving him in Spain for a year or more. PJ Hairston or the other Harrison maybe. Even decent talent at the top of the 2nd round tbh.

Same, LaVine has the potential to be a superstar when everything is said and done. Draftexpress has him late 1st round, but in reality he will most likely be gone by the time we pick

What about Elfrid Payton? PG with size, good scorer and apparently a very good defender. I've seen him compared to Rondo.

I'm really worried about his shooting, he can't even shoot ft's.. But hell with that! I would be really happy if we picked him. Andre Miller 2.0

Some interesting prospects that could be in our range:

Christian Wood
Very long, quick, athletic PF. Has a very good defensive potential, and could develop to be stretch 4. He is still really skinny and will certainly need to hit the gym hard, but he has time to fill up, because he is only 19. Masai loves to draft players like that.

Bobby Portis
Much more nba ready than Wood, but his upside seems to be lower, because of the he lack of explosiveness. He is very long with a good midrange game and could become a solid pick and roll defender.

Rodae Hollis Jefferson
Defensive stopper SF, can guard multiple positions. Can't shoot, but his shot is not broken, his footwork and shot preparation needs a lot of work. Draft express predicts role player upside, but imo if he can develop his shot he has extremely high ceiling
DraftExpress NBA Draft Prospect Profile: Rondae Hollis-Jefferson, Stats, Comparisons, and Outlook

Justin Anderson
Quote:
Where Anderson has the most obvious value at this stage in his career is on the defensive end. Though Tony Bennett's team was one of the best defensive units in the country, Anderson stood out at times regardless, as his shot blocking and versatility made for some truly impressive moments. An active defender with good lateral quickness and strength, Anderson still has an occasional lapses in positioning, but is able to defend multiple positions and seems to have plenty of promise on this end of the floor.

Looking ahead, this will be a key season for Anderson as a prospect, as he'll have an opportunity to get more playing time and show he can take on a bigger role than he displayed his first two years at Virginia. If he can show improvement as a shooter or shot creator, he could emerge as a viable draft candidate down the road.
DraftExpress NBA Draft Prospect Profile: Justin Anderson, Stats, Comparisons, and Outlook

Jerian Grant

Quote:
Though Grant is not overwhelmingly quick, his length and awareness helped him collect errant passes at a nice rate defensively. He plays with better energy on this end of the floor than he did early in his career, but still gives up a fair amount of dribble penetration, looking most comfortable playing in Notre Dame's zone where he can be a bit more aggressive on the perimeter knowing he has help behind him.

Looking ahead, Grant will be a player to watch this season as he looks to prove that his start to last season was no fluke. His size and feel for the game will likely help him rank among the top senior guard prospects in the 2015 NBA Draft, but he still has some room to improve his reputation among NBA decision-makers as questions remain about his defensive potential, ability to create shots as a primary ball-handler at the NBA level, and provide efficient shooting if he's destined for a role off the ball.

Better starting looking in international YMCA's if you wanna find a player on Masai's draft board. :mu:

This dude appeared out of nowhere, he is projected to be around our range. Certainly worth keeping an eye on

Kris Dunn is not projected to get drafted in the first round (to my surprise) I assume shoulder surgery might have influenced that. But dude is good athlete, can defend well and is a good passer. High upside player

Some interesting international players:

Definitely my favorite international prospect, has all the tools to be a special player, dude is a freak.
DraftExpress NBA Draft Prospect Profile: George Lucas, Stats, Comparisons, and Outlook

Stash candidate, has good tools, but still has long way to go to be nba ready
DraftExpress NBA Draft Prospect Profile: Petr Cornelie, Stats, Comparisons, and Outlook

Worth to take a look if we acquire late 2nd round pick
DraftExpress NBA Draft Prospect Profile: Ilimane Diop, Stats, Comparisons, and Outlook

Seems very interesting prospect with great physical gifts and good shooting touch, but I couldn't really find any scouting info other than these two videos.

I wonder what would it take to trade down to get Stanley Johnson

He is nba ready at 18, great defender and can shoot the ball. Projected to be drafted at 9
