Default Five game changing PG's to watch

Via Dime Mag. I'll agree with most of this list. Surprised Craft doesn't get more love.

Quote:
1. Quinn Cook: 6-2, 180 pounds PG, Duke
Stats: (In 31.7 MPG) 12.2 PPG, 4.9 APG, 34.1 percent 3PT
Few players have improved as well and as under the radar as Cook has the past few years. He can shoot the ball consistently now, is a quality defender, and manages the game well. The shooting and defense were not there as a freshman.

2. Aaron Craft: 6-2, 195 pounds PG, Ohio State
Stats: (In 34.5 MPG) 9.5 PPG, 4.6 APG, 35.9 percent 3PT
Craft is the type of player that when he suits up you know exactly what you are going to get. He is a pit-bull type athlete that digs in on defense and plays through the offense for his team.

3. Siyani Chambers: 6-0, 170 pounds PG, Harvard
Stats: (In 34.7 MPG) 11.0 PPG, 4.3 APG, 39.6 percent 3PT
With the benefit of a very good former point guard as his coach, Chambers has risen to the NBA radar out in Harvard. He is small, but executes the offense and plays with polish and pace.

4. Keith Appling: 6-1, 185 pounds PG, Michigan State
Stats: (In 32.6 MPG) 14.4 PPG, 4.7 APG, 40.0 percent 3PT
As a senior, there have been years (or stretches of games) where Appling looks like an NBA point guard and others where you scratch your head. This year Appling has played within himself and looks like a next-level game manager.

5. Chaz Williams: 5-9, 175 pounds PG, Massachusetts
Stats: (In 34.5 MPG) 15.4 PPG, 7.3 APG, 37.8 percent 3PT
Speaking of undersized, with Williams, there is a lot in a small package. He is a fantastic leader and distributor, very good athlete, and has taken his game to the next level this year, impacting winning every night.

Craft defense is best in CBB. SO fun to watch, going to miss him. Only a few more games left of his career.

Not a NBA talent but if people love watching great players, he is one they need to watch. Fan favorite, hustle player, great defense, great person, etc.

Keith Appling injury is killing him. SInce he came back, he has been terrible. I mean REALLY BAD. He is not healthy and MSU needs him. He has gone from one of the best PG in CBB to being negative value while on the court for MSU. Hopefully for them, he can get his game back before the NCAA tourney starts.

I haven't watched much of him, but from what I have seen and heard Craft seems like lowry without the offense

Yeah his jumper is bad. Sucks. If he could shoot, he would be amazing. Already is amazing at the college level. He affects the game in so many ways that don't show up on the shat sheet. Best defender(PG) I've watched at college level and best hustle guy I've watched at Ohio State. Does all the little things.

He really is fun to watch. Not many guys like him anymore. Might not be many more games of him though. Big one this Sunday but Ohio State not built as a team to do well in this tourney. Could be one and done and his career over. :/ Hopefully he can find a way to lead them to a few wins.

He broke the Big 10 all time record of steals in a career. Crazy thing is he forces so many more turnovers that he doesn't get credit for. Gets his hands on the ball to force a TO, or draws a charge, bad pass, etc.

My favorite Buckeye all time. The hustle play he makes at 2:39-2:42 & 3:10-3:13 in that video is his career in one shot. That is what he has done so many times, it is crazy.

In Michigan's three losses to Ohio State over the past two years, Burke -- playing against Craft -- has shot 28.5 percent from the floor with an average of 11 points, 4.3 assists and 5.6 turnovers.

Just to show you how good Craft was. Burke was the best PG in CBB when he was palying and Craft shut him down every time pretty much.

Quote:
In late June, Aaron Craft took a brief break from his busy course load to travel to travel to Union, N.J. and take part in the Nike-sponsored Kyrie Irving Point Guard Skills Academy.

What exactly happened during the Ohio State point guard’s trip to the Garden State is still a mystery to some.

According to DraftExpress.com, Craft more than held his own against the player with his name on the camp, picking him up full court in scrimmages and making him work to advance the ball. While each player admitted to playing against one another in competitive sessions, both Craft and Irving downplayed their on-court matchup.

“It was fun,” Craft said. “It was the first time I’d ever done anything like that.”

“He’s a good defender,” Irving told BuckeyeSports.com. “People were tweeting, ‘Aaron Craft got the best of Kyrie at camp.’ That stuff is for all of you guys to kind of eat up. I am where I am.”

Just never been able to get his jumper where it needs to be in his 4years at Ohio State.
