i really like Barnes and i think come draft day if my cavs cant get Irving, Barnes will be the pick, he will preform very well at the combine and workouts, he has elite athletisim but does not have elite quickness, he has an almost automatic Mid range J and is one of if not the best defenders in CBB

i think its Roy Williams system that doesnt let the kid shine, his system is made more for the college Bigs and i think Barnes is more of a SG then SF in the NBA while Roy plays him at the 3. if Barnes works on his 3 point shot alot better he could be Kobe-lite he has shown that killer mentallity at times this year and is not afraid to take the big shot near the end of games (game winners, game tying shots)

i can see Barnes becoming a brandon roy type of player with a little less offense a bit more defense.

Exactly. I was laughed at yesterday for liking him, but imo i'd rather take him then another Big.

I wasnt on here yesturday, i would have backed you up.

Irving/Barnes/PerryJ/TJones

that is about as far as I would look unless we can somehow snag another pick further down then I would look at some of the pg's down there like Walker/Knight/Smith

i think Barnes has more potential then Roy did comming out of college i think Barnes can be a solid 20-6 guy in the NBA and a top 5-10 defender not a franchise player but an all star type guy

If we pick a PF (ie: P. Jones) who's on their way out? We'd have 3 very solid PF's that would need to play, not to mention Bargnani who could be our PF next season if a true Center can be brought in.

we can try him at the sf position, see how he does. if not, lets say bc doesnt resign and we draft him, Bargs is as good as gone. i could see amir being flipped alongside Bargs for a good centre plus role player wing(expiring). then ud have a lineup of

jose, bayless
demar, barbo
perry, johnson
davis perry
(bargs trade) davis, ajinca

not bad and this is considering we dont sign anyone else and drop weems, etc and barbo excercises his option. we could be a 35 win team next season with that lineup. not great but its a start

6-10O 2-4 from 3 and 4-4 FT 18points and hit the GW 3point with 4seconds left to win @ Florida State.

Impressive.

i dont find 6% Shooting very impressive, just saying
but i agree he's getting better at the right time, a big ACC and NCAA tourny and he might be in discussion for #1 overall

HA. Its actually a O for overall but it might be hard to see when it is right next to a 0.

Huge game on Saturday. Duke @ UNC. Great Rivalry and it will be for the ACC regular season championship game. Time to step up.

Harrison Barnes has struggled to meet expectations, but that hasnít stopped NBA scouts and executives from drooling over his potential.

"When you watch him, really watch him close, I think you gain a major appreciation for his game," one veteran NBA executive said. "He hasn't wowed us the way we expected him to, but his maturity level, his skill set and his overall feel for the game are outstanding. He's better than his box score shows and I think he's going to go much higher than most people expect him to on draft night. If he has a big game against Duke and in the [subsequent ACC and NCCA] tournaments, he could still go No. 1."

Barnes is averaging 13.9 points on 40.6 percent shooting.

his stats are a little skewed since he came out of the gates slow. he's been turning it on of late, and he's been delivering in crunch time. seems like he's got stage presence.

He maybe a late bloomer like Derozan. The one thing you like about Barnes is he plays defense. If the Raps miss out on Irving, I wouldn't mind having Derozan and Barnes as our future wing players. That would be nice core nucleus with Derozan, Barnes and Ed Davis. If only Derozan can learn to play defense.

he has the body for it. D comes with experience usually and most players arent stoppers right out of the gate. give it time and it will probably get there. i wouldnt mind DD, ED, Barnes at all. your really one more good starter or all star in that lineup away from being a contender. whether at the centre or pg position. its a nice team were gonna have for yours to come

Totally unrelated, but I downloaded a draft class in 2K11 and drafted Barnes with the 5th pick to the Cavs. He went on to be 99 overall and lead my Cavs to a 73-9 season (Simmed of course).
