Default Draft Profile: Andre Drummond

6-11 275lbs Freshman Center at UCONN. Some people projected him as the #1 pick early on for 2012.

Strengths:
Area Rebounding
Defensive Presence
Explosiveness

Weakness:
Mid range jumper
Competitiveness

One of the elite talents in the class of 2012, Drummond has the size, mobility, athleticism, instincts and pure ability to be a future lottery pick. Already he's developed a couple of post moves, including a go-to hook. His explosiveness and length are a serious issue for the opposition, as he gets his hands on a lot of shots. Going forward consistency and constant effort is an area for improvement.

If Amare and Dwight had a love child, the result would be Andre Drummond.

Again, another guy I`m not understanding the hype around. He`s just so raw and well, dumb. Again, too much of a highlight reel guy but not really all the smart on the court and kinda lazy on the defensive end.

He'll prob go first too. I was saying this is not a good tanking draft but I got laughed at

Dude I`m right behind you (and I think I was in the thread as well). This is almost a draft I get out of completely beyond the top 3 or 4 (maybe).

This is a draft were you have a .500 team that is young and not ready yet. It'll get you that bench player or 5th starter you need and you'll get it in the middle of it.

There is no superstar in this draft . Poor Raptors never tank on time

Put this one on the back burner, he's more then likely going back for his SOPH year, per NBAdraft.net

His stock has dropped...
This is an amazing opportunity for the Raptors to pick him...

BC is going to have so many options this off season!

UCONN has been banned due to poor academic standings from postseason in 2013, so Drummond could put his name into the next draft. This'll be interesting.

+2

A davis is maybe a solid pick with the forst, but i'm not sure after him there is so much talent, like 2003.
this draft is full of hype, but i don't see much talent than last year.

i hope we can draft a solid sf to start next season or be a solid backup for JJ (if he stay here)

Source: Drummond to enter draft.

Great news. Will make someone else fall to #5/#6 if that is where Raptors end up.

i think drummond could really develop well in a good system but bust hard in a failing one or one that is going through a transition, (sacramento) but if the Raptors get him, i think he would be the perfect big man for casey to work with and develop. casey emphasizes in developing a competitive nature in his players in order to get playing time is not afraid to bench who ever shys away. this is something that could really help drummond because he needs this type of discipline to succeed in the nba.

i don't know.... he is a horrible ft shooter (33%!) and he averages about 1-2 ft per game!! this from ur starting big man. what does that tell you? he's not agressive and shys away from contact. and this is in the NCAA where he has even more of a size advantage. how would he do in the NBA?
