Default Domantas Sabonis

As you can probably guess he is the son of hall of famer Arvydas Sabonis. And this kid surely has talent, he is not among the draft prospects yet (mainly because he turned 17 few months ago), but he i know he will be there soon (I would guess after U-18). He was a men amongst boys in the last years U-16, therefore this year he is playing for U-18, and it seems he will be one of the best players there too. (in the first friendly game he had team high of 15 points and 7 rebounds)
D. Sabonis is listed at 6'11'', and is playing for Malaga Unicaja!(where he debuted at age of 16!)
He is very fluid and crafty for his age and height. Has a Good court vision, and is a great rebounder.

edit: doesn't look 6'11 in that video, has he grown since then?

He's a Cody Zeller lookalike

Re Pau, impossible to judge based on this. Is he even done growing?

Btw, what's his wingspan? Gasol looked like Durant at his age, extremely long. This guy looks much shorter (arms).

I would guess that he is not done growing (but that just a guess). His dad had a huge growth spurt from the age of 17 to 19.
As for wingspan there is no official measurements, so I have no idea

19pts 16reb vs France, just a reminder he is one year younger than most players in this tournament

Arvydas Sabonis talks about his son:
Quote:
He needs to have many weapons in his arsenal. If he is standing further away from the basket he is not looking to score. I tell him to at least take a look, because he can shoot. he still has to put in a lot of work.
He got stronger and has some good moves in the post. on the defensive end he is still often lost, but it is normal at this age.
(not good ft%)
I told him to spring with his legs before shooting, legs are the key. If there is not enough amortization with the legs the shot will be flat, but if you spring yourself the shot has more chance to drop in after bouncing on the rim.
It's not easy for him, because being a year younger at this age is a big difference. Next year it will be easier, he will have more experience and will have more confidence when playing with his own age group.
Domantas Sabonis averaged 14.3 points and 11.4 rebounds

He's planning on playing in the NCAA next year, if I remember the article correctly.

He will be playing for Unicaja in 2013-2014 season and that is much better competition than NCAA

But he won't be signing a contract with them, because he wants to play in the NCAA next year.

It depends on the draft class I suppose he definitely has the potential. He also has a year or two to showcase his talent.
