Dante Exum and his family are leaning strongly toward skipping college and entering the NBA Draft, according to sources.

Exum is generating buzz as a possible first overall pick ahead of Andrew Wiggins and Julius Randle.

Exum is a 6'6 point guard out of Australia. His father, Cecil Exum, had a successful pro career in Australia after playing for North Carolina in the early 1980s.
Welp, looks like the more fuel for the tank! :mu:

Gurk 11-11-2013 04:41 PM

He looks like a really good player. Fuck college :mu:

js12 11-11-2013 06:17 PM

What? Don't you need 1 yr of college to be eligible for the draft?

I'm a big fan of Exum, he needs to bulk up, work on his handles and shooting. But he has huge upside imo

rapsmannn 11-12-2013 04:39 AM

That's going to be a draft class for the ages

rapsmannn 11-14-2013 06:09 AM

even if you land the 4th or 5th pick, your disappoint will change quickly to Smart and Exum

1 year of college or a year of professional basketball outside of the NBA.

I think he is attending some sort of sports college in Australia.

i am pretty sure you just need to be 19, i don't think you need a year of pro or college experience necessarily

Dante Exum Meets With Several Agents Expected To Declare For 2014 Draft - RealGM Wiretap

Dante Exum and his family have met with several agents in Australia and it is believed he will skip college to enter the 2014 NBA Draft.

Exum is widely expected to be one of the top half dozen picks with a chance to go higher based on the workouts.

"I would be shocked if he doesn't enter the draft," one agent who recently met with Exum's family told Yahoo Sports. "He knows he's a lottery pick, and knows several teams have him very high on their boards. His family knows that this is an opportunity that may not come again."

Another agent who traveled to Australia told Yahoo: "This is a bright, thoughtful kid a great family and they're taking their time to think all this through. But in the end, I didn't sense anything that would hold him back from [the draft]. I can't imagine him not coming out."

Exum's family has been careful to preserve his college eligibility and leave open the option for him to pursue college basketball. Exum has visited Indiana and may visit others before the season is over.

Exum's father, Cecil Exum, played at North Carolina.

I think that is a pretty bad comparison. To me Exum seems to be like a more athletic version of MCW

He attends the AIS, Australian Institute of Sport which is pretty much an elite scholarship highschool. Same as Andrew Bogut and Patty Mills.

Talking about how good this draft is.

You look at the 1st round of last year. Name 1 player outside Oladipo and MCW that would crack top 20? Everyone else has been so dissapointing.

Claudius 02-19-2014 09:32 AM

Giannis Antetokounmpo would probably crack it. So would Trey Burke.

I would throw Nerlens Noel in there also even though he is missing this season.
