I think Tristan Thomas at the #5 is a stretch and with Davis, is he needed? Vesely is under contract till 2013 and is so raw. Bismack would be awesome with Davis and Bargs off the bench. Knight if available might be the BPA and would serve a need.

Not exactly the kind of voice I pictured a big man like Biyombo would have...

DraftExpress: Biyombo just shot more jumpers in this workout than he will in his entire career. And he missed most of them. Don't understand the strategy. <http://bit.ly/le6qbL>

DraftExpress: I think Bismack Biyombo would have been better off playing one game of 5 on 5 to truly show the impact he can make. He's not a 1 on 0 type. <http://bit.ly/iCu7Da>

DraftExpress: Despite the bad hands, the lack of skills & general polish, you still can't teach the agility & explosiveness Bismack Biyombo's showing here <http://bit.ly/jcbIMs>

I still want us to get him.

^^ I don't understand the negative recoil from this workout. Biyombo defends and blocks shots to the point of exhaustion. He was never going to look good in a solo workout. That being said, his camp made a mistake by scheduling this workout. Should have been 3 on 3 or 5 on 5, so he could showcase his impact in real game situations.

Bismack Biyombo, a power forward from the Republic of Congo, is a stud athlete who blocks shots and rebounds.

That would have come out in a game, where he could light up the gym by flying around the rim and overpowering opponents. In one-on-none drills, NBA evaluators got to observe bad hands and an offensive game that everyone agrees will be a non-factor in the league, all the way to a bad showing at the line.

Opponents will foul Biyombo every time he has the ball within dunking distance, also known as his maximum shooting range.

The Biyombo workout was interesting as a rare public look at a prospect who has not played in months, after splitting with his team in Spain, and was barely known in the United States even when he was in a lineup. It just wasn’t good. The entire premise was a bad idea. Biyombo, a power forward from the Republic of Congo, is a stud athlete who blocks shots and rebounds. Dibs on trademarking “Hack a ‘Mack.” Opponents will foul Biyombo every time he has the ball within dunking distance, also known as his maximum shooting range. The encouraging news is that an executive with one team said Biyombo did much better at a recent individual workout in Spain by catching balls a club official purposely threw wild to gauge reaction and hands. But nothing hides the zero offense of a player tracking to the top 10.

Not sure I've met a more interesting draft prospect than Bismack Biyombo in terms of the sheer depth of his thoughts. Incredibly cognitive.

That's precisely why you can throw out all the comparisons to African prospects who have come before Bismack Biyombo. Completely different.

NBA Draft has never showed him any respect. I would be shocked if he fell that low. I can see him getting past 14 at worst. I think someone in the top 10 win grab him though.

DraftExpress - NBA Draft, NCAA/International Basketball Website.

Pretty much what I've been saying.

AMAZING shot blocker
Natural feel of offense
Great rebound
Great help side D
Can run pick and roll to the basket
Offensive rebound and dunk
Can dunk well
Explosive

Raw back to the basket
Raw jumpshooter
Raw offensively overall

The offensively shouldn't really matter to us, we have Alex English and other great offensive coaches that can teach him O, he does EVERYTHING we need a player right now with crazy potential. DRAFT HIM NOW!
