Kansas looses 67-61, Wiggins finishes with 26 points and 11 rebounds. Had 4 three pointers, including 3 threes in the closing minutes.

Kansas has had a pretty brutal schedule early on. First Colorado and then Florida (another really tough team at home). Nice to see Wiggins really stand out last game, but some of the other guys on that team don't seem ready for the pressure.

They still have to play New Mexico, Georgetown, San Diego State, and a Toledo team that scores a lot of points.

They have played the toughest OOC in Basketball. This is great for Wiggins/Kansas though. Will only help them once March Madness gets here. They will be well prepared for those games.

I honestly doubt it, I don't see them going very far in March.

Young team playing a tough OOC early on is never going to look good but is great for them. All of them have never played competition like this so it is new for them. They need the experience, all of Kansas main players are freshman/sophomore who didn't much last year. This is only going to prepare them for what March will be like. Now they can learn from it, and coach Self will get them ready.

I'm not saying they're going to be the favorites but they are getting big time experience. This is great for them. I wish OHIO STATE played Kansas schedule, in college basketball it is always smart to schedule an strong OOC. Kansas is as strong as it get. While Kansas is playing legit teams, a lot of other teams are playing schools that do them no good and they win by 50+ just like HS. It doesn't help them much at all besides putting a W in the win column.

Meh, I'll be surprised if they make it past 3 rounds. Long as Wiggins does well I don't really care though.

They should be able to have an easier time thought at home. Should being the key word. If they had to go to "the pit" and with their losing streak right now....ugh.

Why? Because of early losses? I'd be more concerned if they were losing against Cleveland St. (maybe) and Detroit (definitely).

Losing to 'Nova, Colorado and Florida and essentially all being road games and with two of those being in tough environments, I'm not concerned at all. Heck, look at Duke who struggled, AT HOME, against an over matched Vermont team and then lost to Arizona in Arizona.

This season is going to be tough and playing tough opponents early on is really, really smart on Kansas' part.

Absolutely awful night for Wiggins. After scoring 10 in the first half he scored just 1 in the second on 3/11 shooting :S

Wiggins looked good today. The announcers made some interesting points about his jump shot. They believe that his current form, being straight up and straight down is very good. When he gets drafted and is able to work on it full time they think he could develop a very good jump shot.

Wiggins is looking a lot more like Rudy Gay. His development, too, resembles that of Gay when he entered the college ranks.

i agree with that comparison to an extent but Rudy was a more polished shooter, with less effectiveness going to the basket.
