Embiid only started playing basketball a few years ago. Very cool story. Killed a Lion with his bare hands!!

Wiggins starting to show some of his offence, 9 points in the 2nd half so far, including a nice three and steal.

Wiggins checks out,

final line-

13p/7reb/3ast/3stls on 4-9 shooting. Missed two shots by my count that he should have had, one was a funky little move at the end of the first half in heavy traffic and it was half way in and rimmed out. Second, alley oop was just a bit to high and he couldn't finish.

Ellis and Embiid dominated the score sheet for Kansas, and Wiggins has been buying into the Kansas system of heavy ball movement and extra passes. Played well.

Embid is too tall for these kids in nba he would be less efective, but top 10 pick easily.
Ellis would be awesome in the 2nd round

What a fun game, Wiggins played awesome. 14 points in the first half, of course they were blowing them out in the 2nd so he sat twice. 7 rebounds is solid, he's been a consistent rebounded so far. Had 3 (maybe 2?) offensive boards where he just hustled in from the perimeter and out leaped the defender to grab it. Played lockdown defence on Benimon (Towson's best player) in the 2nd half, just when Benimon was starting to heat up.

Hit a sweet three too.

I disagree, have you seen this kid play, it's not like he's just dunking over people. He may have only been playing basketball for only a few years, but I'm sure he's been playing sports for a long time, his coordination and footwork are great for somebody his size.

He's already got a decent back-to-the-basket game, with spin moves, drop-steps and nice touch on his jump hook. He's also really good at getting deep post position and sealing his man on the block.

I think he'll be one of the top defensive bigs in the league, he's got great instincts. Not just shot-blocking, but also in defending space. I've seen him on the backside directing team-mates on their defensive assignments.

He looks like he knows what he's doing. I've watched other physically superiors bigs like Drummond and Thabeet who looked lost on the floor in college, not Embid. Definitely a top-6 pick. Might have gone #1 in last year's draft.

Wasn't it him that used to play volleyball or was that someone else?

I think he played soccer and volleyball. Soccer worked out for Nash and Hakeem? I've heard comparisons of him with Hakeem.

I just remember them talking about it in the game Vs Duke where they were something like "Just (insert proper number) years ago he was playing volleyball and they hauled him off the court one day and we're like, we want you to learn baskebtall!" Or something along those lines.

His IQ for the game is very high for someone with his amount of experience. You rarely see big men make outlet passes the way he does at the college level. Heck you rarely see it in the NBA. Also, he has good hands. I've seen him rip rebounds away from the hands of his opponents quite easily.

Kansas heading to the Bahamas for games on Thursday/Friday/Saturday. Playing some quality competition as well, should be good.

Thursday's game is on at 330pm ET, and I THINK Friday/Saturday will be on NBC. Not on TSN.

Absolutely he can also pass the rock very well. I just think he would need time to be very good player in nba

I agree, it would be best for him if he didn't come out this year. I kind of liken him to a more nimble, slightly smaller Roy Hibbert. Hibbert played 4 years of college and still started of slowly in the pros.

Kansas wins 87-78

Wiggins played well, considering he has either a bad chest cold or stomach flu(read both). Ended up scoring 17 points on 6-13 shooting. Also had 4 rebounds, 4 assists and 3 steals. Continued his good defence and efficient all around play, with only 1 turnover.

Had 12 of Kansas' final 22, came through when they needed him most.
