2012 NBA Draft Class

Everyone has been saying that this years draft is going to be really deep and it takes just one good look at the mock draft to realize this.

2012 Mock Draft | NBADraft.net

With guys like Tyler Zeller, Terrence Jones, and Myck Kabongo expected to be taken out of the lottery, there seems to be a lot of talent in the late first round. Even in the early second round you can see some big time contriubutors like Draymond Green and Kris Joseph (Canadian small forward, why not?).

I think we really need to take advantage of this and make some trades like barbosa and his expiring contract to a contender for a mid to late first rounder.

Who do you think we should take in this draft. Anthony davis and Thomas robinson have been producing well, but I dont really see how they could fit in with Bargs and JV, unless we could trade one of them.

I think we should draft Perry Jones in the lottery and take our hometown boy Kabongo with a mid to late first rounder.

Hb you guys?

If PJ is taken i'll settle for Quincy Miller.

Too bad it won't happen because BC is a dumbass.

I think best player available is always going to come into play. If you get #1 or 2 pick, you probably have to pick Davis or Drummond. After that, it opens up some. I just hope we don't see a jump shooter with limited ball handling skills coming in here.

Good thing they are working guys out before the draft and scouting games as usual.

Kris Joseph could be right in the Raps neigbourhood 2nd round though, can't he.

I think Kris Joseph will be taken 25-30.

Anything could happen really, guys like quincy miller, oriakhi and lebryan nash (or even Cody Zeller) could still enter the draft and that would shake things up big time.

Perry Jones...... biggest bust of 2013!

Forgot LeBryan Nash. He would be an excellent pick with a late first round to early 2nd round pick. He could back-up DeMar after we trade Barbosa for a mid-round pick. :p

We should keep Barbosa and trade Demar for a mid-round pick!

Interesting theory. Does make you wonder what Demar would fetch, but too early to move him.

bigmandinky 01-28-2012 02:53 PM

If a package with Demar and Baby Face Davis could net us a lottery pick, I think it would be worth it.

To the guys hyping Perry Jones, he hasn't really shown up in the big games when they need him and I've never really seen him take over a game like I did when I watched Durant play.

His laziness on defence is bothersome too. I'm bigger on Kabongo because of his leadership skills more than anything, but right now, he looks like he'd be a great back up or even a Ty Lawson type in the NBA (at best)

J-Bo 01-28-2012 02:58 PM

Hope we get a top 3 pick and get Harrison Barnes

Talking about Jones/Kabongo. Really good game between Texas/Baylor right now.

Jones/Miller having good games for Baylor. Kabongo has made some big plays in the last min or so to get Texas down by 1. Announcers gave him some love for his leadership skills for a freshman as he went to a player and let him know what he needed to do.

Claudius 01-28-2012 03:02 PM

Yep, the game has been great.

I know. I need to start working on this paper I need to type but have been watching CBB since Noon. Lots of good games on today early on and this Baylor/Texas game has been great like you said.
