Can somebody tell me about Brad Beal here?

I've only seen him in the U-19 tourney this past summer and didn't see anything that stood out.

He's apparently grown and is closer to 6'5", has an NBA body, decent length and athleticism, compared to Eric Gordon and Ray Allen. He'd be a great fit here. Was the best rebounding guard in his conference.

Not to mention great range on his shot, he can score in many ways and will be able to contribute right away.
I'm a big fan.

No he 100% is not. (Please note that this is based off literally nothing more than me being a UNC fan and praying it's true)

To me it would depend on what sort of offers came up for Demar, if not come off the bench, I like JJ more than Demar, would rather let him start.

They'd both play. There are plenty of minutes at the SG spot.

He's grown?

Don't forget that they are going to be working guys out before the draft. This is where Colangelo has to have Stefanski checking shoes for 2" lifts.

On another note, it will be interesting to see if anyone decides to try and skip their Raptors workout.....an indirect way of saying, "Don't draft me".

Don't forget that Ed Davis didn't even work out for Toronto, so I don't think BC will be scared off if the BPA didn't work out for us.

he recently informed a writer that he's closer to 6'5" than he was when he was last officially measured

Ed thought he was going to be way picked earlier. As it turns out so far, his thought on that had no basis in reality. His impact on games is not all that great. And we still can't say he necessarily wanted to come here. His dad definitely didn't want him to.

I only got to watch Bradley Beal play a couple of times... and... I wasn't that impressed. Perhaps I just caught him on some bad games, but there was a LOT of standing around, behind the arc.

I just hope that he has a lot more (and obviously he does if he's projected to go in the top 5) than a guy who shoots. I thought I read somewhere that he doesn't attack that much, which is ok - if you're a lights-out shooter - but I'd prefer a slasher at the 2.

Has anybody seen a lot of him? Did I just see a bad couple of games? Any Gators' fans?

I've only watched him a few times, but the thing about college ball is that there is a lot of standing around as compared to the NBA and the two guards he played with, Erving Walker and Kenny Boynton, can be ball dominant. Beal can be quiet sometimes cuz he'll just be handed 3 point shot which hell miss and then there won't be much seen for him for a little while. But he's got a good strong body and good speed, which lets him get into the paint where he has shown to make some good passes on occasion. His shooting is what many consider his best quality, but he's best when he's aggressive and is more than capable of contributing on the boards, and has shown flashes of being a helpful offensive rebounder.

I think he can develop into a slightly bigger version of Eric Gordon, with lesser pg skills, but better rebounding and defense.
