Default You have a bad coach when....

The opposing squad sports a lineup of:

Juwan Howard
Joel Anthony
Mike Miller
Eddie House
Mario Chalmers

...

and coach not only starts the quarter playing zone defense, but sticks with it even after they've dropped 4 threes.

He openly talks about how it's not about winning games, but just having spurts of acceptable possessions.

You guys are being awfully harsh when you consider the talent level of the current healthy roster. I'm not a huge Jay fan but even I can't bring myself to judge him too sternly with this roster.

BC is the one that assembled this god awful roster, JT is just trying to make the best of it, he doesn't deserve as much of the blame as he's receiving

it'd be interesting to see how this roster would respond to a great coach (Phil Jackson, Doc Rivers)

Jay's just not head coach material. Every one says he's a great X's and O's guy, but even his playcalling has been awful this season. He's a terrible leader and motivator from what I see and is too scared to confront players, especially Andrea, and he almost never leaves them accountable.

I hate Triano but in his defense he hasn't had a healthy roaster all season. We were playing a lot better when we did.

stop putting blame on the coach, the fact is the players we have aren't very good, at its not even necessarily BC either, its a young team that is focusing on growing, not winning

every bad team does stuff like this, they play well for a while, well enough to win some but for the most part they lose, then the good teams start separating themselves and the bad teams start getting exposed, thats just what we are

you forgot to mention that the other team had lebron james, it only takes 1 good player to change the whole game, and mike miller is 100% better than most of our players, mario chalmers is decent (probably as good as bayless), eddie house is instant offense and against a team that can't defend he'll be money

Scared to confront players?

He's benched Bargs already a few games ago..

Clearly showed on tv him atleast 3 times him yelling at him after calling a time out...

And when asked post game he said straight up that he HAD to play him because they needed offence... even tho Bargs fucked up defensively like usual.

Look at his roster this roadtrip... everyones banged up... they've hit 100 points ONCE on this trip I believe... they are dying for offence... and his defence is even worse then his offencive game because both his needs are banged up and he's trying to play through it...

I'm fine with Jay being the coach while were rebuilding but we need to bring in a defensive specialist to work with this team...I'm not sure who or where you find one, but this team really needs to figure out shit on defense!

I dont know man...

This team has gone through 2 coaches who have been brought in as assistants to impliment a defensive system... 2 former HEAD coaches too in Carlesimo and Ivaroni and it's barley changed...

It's more on the players buying into it and showing effort IMO...

Lazy fucks

The fuck are you talking about? You're saying all those times he played Weems the most minutes out of the team when he was clearly chucking and had no effort on defense was right? And all those times he benched Wright, all but 5 min each game, when he was clearly the best perimeter defender we had and was trying his best to be like a defensive anchor, and when Kleiza was either struggling or injured and was barely productive at all? Or how about these awful playcalls in crunch time where the offense doesn't know what it's doing and Jose just ends up dribbling the ball for almost the whole shot clock or someone just turns the ball over with an awkward? I know we aren't a playoff team by now, but there are plenty of times where I and many others are scratching their heads on Triano's decision making.
