I honestly can't see why not to be honest, but I've read in a few message boards and comments in some online articles that some fans are already losing patience.

Are you one of those? Do you wish we had a more offensive minded coach?

I like him. He's a lot better than our last coach. The thing is he has no offense with Bargs out so it is what it is. But i like our effort most nights, and we must also take into account the schedule and we're gonna get blown away here and there. Give this guy Valanciunas, a real SF and maybe an up tempo PG and see what he can do.

As for losing patience, that's to be expected. Losing will do that. lol

I have nothing but respect for the man. The roster... not so much.

He reminds me of KO. Only KO was totally D and boring and had way too much of a temper to be a head coach in the NBA.

In short I like him and he deserves 3 to 4 years to see if he can turn this team around.

The main problem I have with the offense this year is that it has been a bit boring- little fast break opportunities, less explosive dunks. But like others said, I don't think it's his fault exactly; there is no big offensive threat without Bargnani.

Honestly, he keeps yelling at us to run but we don't. Calderon slows shit down.

I'm glad he made Bargnani see the light... I'm also glad we don't have Triano.

I really miss our fast breaks from last season. But I'm willing to give those up to see lockdown D. When we aren't playing D, it's the most boring piece of crap I've ever seen.

It's the coaches job th create the shots. It's the players job to make them.

Raps just dont have talented shooters.

Frankly, Raps just dont have a lot of talent period.

Gotta give Casey a couple real years to see what he can do.

Next year will be the bigger judgement on him, since he should have a considerably more talented team and a more clear view on a team taking shape. This team is just nowhere near good enough, but we all knew that.

The way Calderon plays, and the kind of offense Casey pictures in his head are two different things I think.

I'm pretty happy with Casey. I'm close to fed up with BC on the other hand. I hope JV isn't a multi-year project. It's tough to see Kemba Walker getting a triple double recently, and Amir and Derozan going into huge slumps.

Last years team was much more fun to watch. This years team is pretty boring overall and no one other than Bargs can consistently play O. I guess that's the price you have to play if you want to play D...

I'll admit that, when the media was speculating about the shortlist for interviews for the job, I was high on the Raps hiring Maurice Cheeks. I don't remember being too enthusiastic about Casey. I have no complaints though. He does not have a lot to work with.

Most nights, the Raps have played hard. It's a whacky schedule, so no matter who is/was coaching the Raps this season, there would be a couple of sloppy nights. I love what I've seen when Bargnani is in the lineup. When Bargs is in there, the Raps are a team challenging for the playoffs. I can't justify expecting more than that, given the roster. Too bad Bargnani hasn't been healthy the whole time so that we could see if the team could stay .500 for a larger sample. If Bargnani plays 45 games this season, and the Raps win 21+ of those 45 games, that would be a really good sign that Casey is probably a keeper.

It happens when youre trying to change the culture. Games aren't gonna go your way and injuries happen. Plus with the condensed schedule and the back to back to back games, fatigue and lack of practices and proper rest are gonna take a toll on your body. This raps team has talent, maybe not a lot of it, but the way that Casey has changed this team so far has made me happy. It was expected to have these losses, but its good to see we're tougher and play harder than before.

As many said before, lets wait till next season. Two draft picks coming in, a proper training camp, good rest, and some adjustments here and there and we may be good to go

DC has done a great job IMO...

With AB in the lineup this team is challenging for a playoff spot, without him they are a bottom 5 team, and that has nothing to do with Casey, it's just that he has little talent to work with aside from AB.

They are among the lead leaders in Opponents FGM, and FG%. They also have a respectable opponents PPG compared to last years.

That game against Utah should be enough to validate the type of defence DC has instituted. Anyone watch the final quarter and both OT's? Did you see that defence?

Give him a team to work with now, and the results will come.

One could argue that if Triano had those things we might have been better than we were over the last few seasons.

The players have all said the right things when it comes to Casey ("He really focuses us on the defensive end") but I'll be curious to see how long that lasts if we keep losing.

To be clear... I like Casey. This roster sucks though and it's sucked for a LONG time now. No coach is going to come in and turn that around.

True, but at the same time, i never had any confidence in Triano getting this team anywhere. But better roster = better record. Makes sense.

Why can't we just hire assistant who is offensive minded? that way Casey could concentrate more on defense, and could take advise from assistant on offense. Casey would obviously have the last word cause he is the head coach..
