LeBron doesn't need to shoot it at the buzzer...

He drives at will, gets into the lane and either gets fouled (and still finishes) most of the time or dunks with ease..

He's a scoring machine. No need to shoot. Unless it's a needed 3, then why even give it to him... give it to a better 3 point shooter on there team.

Dunks are still considered shots, and he's still 3-22.

Good, I'm glad he's not here. We can't afford to have him on this team. He's not a franchise player. He's not even an allstar. Can you imagine a team with Bosh AND LeBron? The raps wouldn't ever win or tie in the last 5 seconds. But, luckily we have Anthony Parker here. He'll make the tough shots.

Lebron is terrible in the clutch. I remember one road trip during what I want to say was his 2nd or 3rd season where he missed multiple shots to win or tie games in the dying seconds of the 4th quarter. Some of them were free throws too.

If I'm not mistaken Kobe also has a terrible percentage on game-winning/tying shots in the dying seconds of the 4th/OT. I remember seeing a stat a while ago about this. Recently he missed such shots at Miami and at Orlando in back-to-back games.

Thats all i need to say...Do the Raptors have a play that can take over a game like this?...not a question...He doesn't need the ball with 5 seconds left his team has already won

In fairness to Lebron, this was a big issue in the first few years of his career, but he's as clutch as clutch can get these days. I wouldn't want the ball in anyone elses hands, other than perhaps DWade right now when the game is on the line... Kobe as well but i like the other two.

if you have every seen any of those dying seconds of a Cavs game, they give it to LBJ and just stand and watch. Everyone knows he is going to shoot it so he gets 3-4 guys on him.

LeBron has been to the finals and his team is 30-7
Bosh hasn't won a playoff series and his team is 16-24

But the key thing here is, I don't think there's one Cavs fan that complains when Lebron is the one missing that shot at the buzzer.

How long has he been in the league? 5 years? And Lebron has only taken the final shot 22 times. The Cavs have definitely had way more close games than that stat indicates, which means Lebron has been able to pass it off and find other guys at the buzzer.

Yeah and then in the last 2 games vs Houston and SA hes been deadly(hitting standstill 27 footers over Mason and Battier). Kobes the last guy(besides maybe wade) you want with the ball in his hands with the game on the line right now. His shot in Miami trickled in and out remember too.

you're missing the point, kobe, wade, lebron or Bosh are exactly the kind of guys you want to handle the ball when the game is on the line. What you don't want is them taking a crazy shot just because they have a superstar mentality that they can do anything. You want those guys to attract all the attention on the court, and then deliver a pass to an open teammate.

Kapono, Parker and Bargani will easily shoot 50% when wide open. If we can get these guys an open shot, that would give us over 50% chances of winning a game.

Lebron has a good team around him, Chris Bosh for the most part does not.

Lebron did not look good at any point last night, and particularly at the buzzer. The NBA season is just too long and nasty for anybody to not look bad at some point. I'll still take what Bosh does through most of crunch time against just about anybody.

Give Chicago credit for really playing him aggressively, Tyrus Thomas, Derrek Rose, they were all playing Lebron one on one like they believed they could stop him, going for steals, and making him change direction. And they had ready help available as well.

This is a good post. I remember MJ had a commercial back in the day stating that he made like 30(can't remember the exact number) game winning shot but missed like 80(can't remember the exact number) but he is still considered the greatest. If there is a guy on our team to take a game winning shot it is Bosh 1st option, Bargs 2nd, Kap 3rd. Bosh isn't a killer...YET neither is Lebron. Kobe is and so is D-Wade.
Can't take that pressure off Bosh. Shoot and miss and the lovely people on RF will shit on you until you make them.

It's a good thing LeBron wins all his team's games before the 4th quarter, then.

so what, his team is like 50-1 so far this year.

Lets not compare pansies to machines of warfare and Destruction. Bosh isn't worth the sweat on Lebron's ball sack of the floor. For the record, in as many games as he's missed finalk shots, it's massively overshadowed by the 5 minutes proceeding the last 5 seconds where he has singlehandedly put a game out of fucking reach.

This might be biased because I'm a big fan but when healthy I'd pick Gilbert over any of the ones mentioned before.

He just has that swagger and it's amazing.
