Default You are the GM of the Raptors

Everyone has ideas on how to improve the Raptors. Here you will make trades, sign free agents, and make personnel adjustments as you like for this year and the near future.

Use the 'ESPN Trade Machine' as a reference

Toronto Raptors Team Salary

NBA Salaries

Assume
2008-09 Season Salary Cap is $73 million
2009-10 Season Salary Cap is $76 million
2010-11 Season Salary Cap is $79 million

Snoochie knows where it's at.

Small move, I try and get Atkins and Balkman from the Nuggets. Atkins is probably the most available backup PG right now, Balkman, he does what Moon should be doing - Plays with heart, plays d, and doesn't force his hand in the offense.

I'd hire one of you ass clowns as coach, if not for your amazing knowledge of the game that you've honed while playing NBA Live, just for the sheer entertainment value of watching and hearing you whine like a 4 year old everytime something doesn't go to your liking.

And then I could also spend hours and hours on a message board continually stretching, searching and making up ways to blame you for the woes of the team.

Listen Assclown, it's actually my manlove of the team and that allows me to equally place blame on players, coaches and management...

Ugh! Threads like that make me sicks.

Listen fanboys. And listen up good (or in this case, read).

Everybody has a plan to fix the Raptors, trades they want to make, signing, etc - but that shit is much harder than you make it out to be.

Does someone think that the Pacers would want Parker and Kapono for Rush and Daniels? What's the Pacers' motivation to do that? Because what?.. And then signing Daniels for nearly 9 mil a season.. I mean.. WTF?

And why replace Smitch with Avery Johnson? They're the same friggin type of coach. They're more motivators than anything.

And Lebron is NOT signing here in 2010. I REPEAT - NOT signing here in 2010. Neither is Amare Stoudamire. So stop your daydreaming, melonheads.

Why don't you leave the running of the team to the professionals before you hurt yourselves. Got it? Good. Thank you.

You're the same type of fan, sitting at home, with these schemes "Oh, I'm better than Colangelo - if I were running the team, I would do this..."

Let me let you in on a little secret. SHIT AINT LIKE THAT, FRIEND.
Dream transactions that occur in 2K9 or in NBA Live 09, don't happen in real life.

As a fan of this team since it's inception, we've seen good times and bad times - more bad times than good, but we should count our blessings that we have a guy like Bryan Colangelo in charge. he brought back respectability and stability to a fledgling franchise. He made outside the box moves, re-signed stars, wasn't afraid to make the tough decisions and we've been in the playoffs the 2 years he's been in charge.

So, with that being said, you'll have to excuse me in respect to the fact that I'm not going to come up with any half-baked suggestion on how to fix this team. I'll leave that up to the 2-time NBA executive of the year.

I'm with Acie and Mango on this one... it's silly to propose trades and theorize what coach would do a better job with the team and to have the gaul to assume you know better than the current minds in charge is beyond arrogant.

Wow people get mad because of ideas, people are always coming up with trades so i thought they'd post them here, man testy people.
I never said Colagelo was bad, he's done respectable job considering the team we use to have.
I haven't played NBA Live 09 yet, is it good?
