Think about yourself, if you know someone is desperate to sell their house, you don't offer full price. You low ball your low ball offer and see where it gets you. If the market is hot you overpay. Right now, we're kinda desperate to sell. We need to wait and sell high. Create the market and take advantage of it.
I don't think they're desperate to trade him sadly. If as you say we get low balled, they might keep him and get a Center and slide him to PF with Davis. If that were to happen Amir might have to go which would suck balls.

Meh, I'd rather keep Bargnani over Amir to be honest.

When it's all said and done, Bargnani is still a better player than Amir.

We'd still have a big that takes too many shots, shouldn't be the center of our offense, yet if he isn't is even more useless then he currently is. Make him our 3rd scorer and build around our wings and Bargnani becomes an even bigger joke unless he all of a sudden puts some actual effort and emphasis on his defense. In other words, he's not a number 1, and on a very good team is likely a number 3. And a number 3 offensive option that plays little to no defense who only cares about scoring is as useless as tits on a nun.

technically Bargnani is the best player on this team. but showing it once every 5 games is the same as not being the best player on this team. he has the biggest "upside" out of anyone on our team but 5 seasons now and going into this 6th.....will we ever see it pan out? i'm not willing to wait 10 years and hoping one day it just clicks for him and turns out like zach randolph

I would pretty much trade derozan if half the people in this thread were the opposing GM, since you all over value him so much that it's a no lose trade.

Sure Bargnani is better then Amir. But I think you have do so much with line ups and rotations when Andrea is there. If he just rebounded, or played D with a little commitment, the Raps wouldn't be half as screwed. BUt It looks we are going to have to play players like JJ and Evans with him to make for Andreas lack of prowess. So we are giving up scoring in two positions to add rebounding and D to line up. So in all reality, Andrea is so much more of a hindrance to this team then Amir.

"In other news, Demar Derozan has been on another level with his play up to the all-star break. This season he's averaging an amazing 25,5 & 5 shooting a respectable 47% from the floor. He certainly has silenced his doubters..."

sounds like bosh, but he has somewhat found a niche in miami. Bargs could do the same.

no way for gasol!!!!!!! we finally get a guy who WANTS to stay in toronto and WILL most likely end up becoming a franchise player and might even be a role model for future american basketball players wanting to stay in canada and WILL very much revolutionize the organization for years to come and PUT the toronto Raptors BACK on the BASKETBALL MAP like vince Carter and YOU WANT TO TRADE HIM AWAY!!!!!!
I have read a lot of posts about people on other teams saying that they think highly of demar derozan and they would love him on their team, that he could end up being an all-star for many teams, and be a top 5 sg for years to come. how about gasol, he isn't even that good. he is just lucky he has randolph on his team because randolph is the one getting all the attention from opposing defenses. just like turkoglu in orlando. their dwight was getting all the attention in defense so turkoglu could put up good numbers. the same with gasol. randolph is getting all the attention allowing gasol to get points easier

^^ Gasol is a good center no matter who he plays with.

You're right that DeMar for Gasol would be a bad trade, though. With the current NBA salary structure, a productive player on a rookie contract is the most valuable asset a team can have.

Players like Demar don't come around to often
I don't understand how you would trade that away for Gasol..
all because your 7foot center does not play like a center

I still think lebron is the best asset you can have ...
While your point is valid, getting a great young center on a long contract is worth sacrificing some of the financial flexibility imo

With the exception of Game 3, Bosh outplaying Garnett in the playoffs. AND still an all-star player. Something Bargs could not do the same!!!

If he could grab 8-9reb per game and be able to be more efficient on less shots, maybe. Bargnani is not as good as Bosh.

Sorry, but a Center who's known as a shooter shooting 34 3PT% and 44FG% is not that efficient.

How can you not see that his natural position is SG?? That's efficient enough.

He's good at one thing, shooting/scoring.....yet his shooting is "efficient enough". Well ok then, my bad.

Are you kidding me? You think it's ok for our centre to play like a SG?
