Yeah you're right, you are a hater. You should have more respect for DeRozan because chances are he will be here for a long time. He doesn't have a 3 point shot because thats not what he does, if he doesn't turn into Ray Allen then so be it. Vince Carter never had a 3 point shot earlier in his career but he worked on it. You aren't born with a good 3 point shot, you have to work for it. Considering DeRozan is a gym rat he will most likely develop one. Maybe not an incredible one like Ray Allen, but definitely a respectable one.

jeffb doesn't sound like a hater. It is a business and if there is a package that improves the team then it definitely should be looked at and considered. Derozan hasn't played that well where he is untouchable.

I just said i like Derozan and think he'll have a good NBA career, but i have my doubts he'll be a superstar and that constitutes HATE and lack of respect? Wow!

If DeRozan was on any other team you would probably want him here. The fact that hes already on this team makes you undervalue him and his potential. Some Raptors fans don't know what they have in certain players.. trade away DeRozan and every GM in the NBA will laugh their ass off at this club.

If we get a player that has equal value AND improves the team BC would have to consider it. I'm sure the draft and free agency will be the determining factors though. Personally, I don't think DD is going anywhere. The team needs him to be the starting SG.

Where do i say i don't want him? Where do i say he sucks? Where do i say we have to trade him? How do i undervalue him when i say i like him and think he'll be a good NBA player? Just because i have my doubts about him being any kind of superstar, doesn't mean i want him traded, it just means that i would consider dealing him if the right offer comes along. Not saying we should pursue a deal for him, but i would listen which any GM with half a brain would do. And i would probably pull the trigger on a favorable offer.

No one's saying that we should trade DD for a scrub player...

It's flat-out silly to consider him "untouchable" though. IF the right deal is out there and it nets us a quality player at a position of need BC would be silly not to consider it.

someone mentioned DD for Gasol.....why not Bargs for Gasol instead. i like DD here. If we draft Dwill we could potentially have a line-up of Gasol, Davis, Dwill, DD, JC. Bargs could do well in Memphis stretching the D. I'm a M Gasol fan - I like the potential lineup.

Preferably though, I like Irving. Irving and DD would be fantastic as a back court tandem. Problem though is now the Raps need a 3 and a 5.

Grizzlies need Gasol to mask Randolph's defensive deficiencies. They will implode is Bargs was paired up with Bargs.

the more you look at this up coming off season the more you think the Raptors will stay the same roster wise

don't think MLSE wants to sign anyone in the offseason worth giving a damn about

MLSE doesnt' want to pay BC, meaning htey don't want to pay for a top flight General Manager, so if BC is fired or walks don't be expecting Pritchard to walk through the door because MLSE is looking sell right now

only player that could be traded is Bargs, and the reason why he might get traded is if we have another bad season Bargs will be the fall guy, and MLSE will do to make the fans happy

don't forget another lockout year

well I guess we'll see how commited Maple Leaf Sports and Entertainment really are this off season,

Trading DD now would be economically unsavvy. His value right now is very low compared to his potential future impact at TO. Now it's the right moment to trade Bargnani!

Everyone wants to trade Bargnani. So, if his value is at his lowest, why would you sell low? And, why does everyone here think that teams want our garbage? I honestly don't get it.

He's still young and his offensive skills are there. I would say that some GM's would think they have the right system for him to thrive in. On this team he just doesn't fit, this is a team that needs to go in another direction, but i believe we could get a decent (not great) return for Bargnani, especially if it's part of a bigger deal. Hell, he'd be easier to deal then Jose and look what we almost got for his ass last summer. I'll tell you what i don't get.....how people always question that players can't be moved knowing what we know from the past. Why trade him now......he's still young enough, to the point where teams will think that's a positive. Wait two years, he doesn't improve and see what you get then. I still think he has some market value. How much so, hopefully we find out.

I get that, but really, a GM is going to try and low ball you no matter what precisely because of what you mentioned. The guy is an enigma and I bet other teams smell blood in the water.

Think about yourself, if you know someone is desperate to sell their house, you don't offer full price. You low ball your low ball offer and see where it gets you. If the market is hot you overpay. Right now, we're kinda desperate to sell. We need to wait and sell high. Create the market and take advantage of it.
