Uh... we have the guy wrapped you till 2014. He gets payed less then Klieza and Amir. If we were to trade up we would have to add contracts to attain some balance. So are you willing to combo up Klieza or Amir to get a player earning less then 10 mill a year? No probably not. So your looking at other guys still in there rookie contracts which means we aren't trading up unless we throw a pick in there as well. So No, trying to trade him would take more energy then anything you ever get in return.

At one point he was deemed as not even being D League worthy...

I hope he sticks around, keeps working hard and proving people wrong.

tell me what Delfino was doing at 21 years of age..

all I'm saying is, with time, he will develop more consistency in certain areas of his game, he is still raw.. but willing to learn

these things don't happen over night, but from year one to now.. I have seen major improvement, and all that wouldn't be possible without a good work ethic
I think you're born with instinct. How's that?

That's fine bud...
I just think it would be a bad move..

I know I am not the only one who thinks that, but it seems as though I am alone

You develop instincts by playing a lot of basketball games. Gasol is a good player, but we need to pair him with a good SG. He'll be a free agent so if we really want him, we can go after him for a high price in free agency. Barbosa at the SG position does not work, and neither does Sonny Weems. It's not easy to get a good sg because no team wants to give up a good one and it looks like there hasn't been many good SG's in the past couple of drafts.

Haters gonna hate.

DeRozan is a big part of this team, he is one of the few that makes this team watchable and gives the franchise hope for the future. I'd have more hope for this team with DeRozan on it than Gasol. DeRozan/Davis is great moving forward, whoever wants to fuck that up really knows nothing about building a team.

I agree 100%

and what Gasol is going to give us a championship?

you build around the young core.. add the rite pieces, make them grow together and improve.. then you are making progress.. it takes time

the problem is you guys get to excited.. yea, Memphis is balling they in the playoffs.. so lets trade Demar for Gasol.. or lets get mayo.. give me break man, work with what you have.. develop your own players to become starts if they have the potential

trade Bargnanni..
when his offense is off what exactly is he doing on the court for us?

I don't really see anyone hating much here. If anything most are saying they'd trade Derozan for the right deal. And the right deal means different things to different people. It's amazing how when someone is "crazy" enough to say nobody is untouchable for the right deal, they're deemed haters. It's an opinion, we all have 'em.

Well of course, that is where the draft pick comes into place.

What did DeRozan and Davis do that would make the organization trade them away? Is it because they work too hard and enjoy playing on this team? Yeah lets bring in a washed up vet at the 2 spot and build around Marc Gasol, I heard Anthony Parker is doing wonders in Cleveland.

I'm sure BC doesn't want to trade DeMar and Ed. But knowing him he would do it if it places the team in a BETTER position for the future. Which is the right thing to do.

For example: Washington offers John Wall for DeMar. He would have to do that right? He would be stupid not to. He's been compared to Derrick Rose.

Another example: Minnesota offers Kevin Love for Ed. It's a trade he must do even if he loves Ed, because Love has a bit more potential.

Those trades obviously will never happen, but I like to think BC isn't scared to trade someone he likes for someone who could be much better.

Who says they have to do anything to be traded away. It's a business and if a good deal is offered up for a package that includes Derozan then it at the very least has to be considered. Are you seriously saying that a 2nd year player with no 3pt shot, at times questionable defense is untouchable? I like Derozan and think he'll have a good NBA career, but any good offer has to be considered unless you believe that Demar will be a superstar which i doubt. And if you think that considering a good offer to improve the team long term makes me a hater, then i'm a hater.

I disagree, I believe a player can have natural instincts but those players are few and far between - and is the difference IMO between NBA players and NBA superstar players.

Playing lots will enhance anyone's efficiency from experience but a player needs more than that to go to the next level.
