Lebron is a three, DeRozan is a two. I mean come on.. you don't even see Kobe averaging those rebounds/assists. No 2 in the league averages what Lebron does because its a different position.

I wouldn't do DeRozan for Gasol. Gasol is a nice piece, but he isn't a franchise player, which some say DD could turn into someday.

No one should be considered untradeable if th right deal came along. However Gasol for Derozan isn't that deal. To have a good team you need to have a good wing player coupled with a good 2 way big man. I'm not so sure on Mayo because he's regressed every year hes been in the league.

Then why couldn't we find a good wing player ever since Vince Carter? Gasol isn't exactly the centre we need either. He's not much of a shotblocker/intimadator.

You can't just build a team trading away one of your good core pieces for another. Keep DD Davis and either draft or try signing a good 2 way centre through free agency.

Not a shotblocker......he averages nearly 2 blocks per game. I'll take that over Bargnani's 0.6. In the playoffs Gasol is averaging 15ppg/12.4rpg/1.7blks

Would rather have DD than Mayo. DD's work ethic a lone makes his ceiling really high and higher than Mayo's. Plus DD's defensive potential is unlimited. Mayo not so much, he is an undersized two guard.

I actually want to build a foundation instead of trading our pieces away for players who may or may not fit in and only look good on paper.

Unless it is a superstar, or a young all star, no way would I trade DD for anyone.

Do you know how long it took us to get a good wing player in DeRozan? Going through all the shit like Moon, Graham, Parker, etc etc... saying its easy to get a guy like DeRozan is complete bullshit.

It's easiER then getting a good true Center, which is why Centers are harder to develop and take longer to become dominant if they ever do. I never said it was easy, just easier.

I wish we had a guy like Pierce as our Small Forward. Dude can do everything on the court.

Well, Chicago didn't want to trade Noah for Melo. Even though Melo was the better player, it would screw up the foundation they were trying to build.
