As someone who is currently limited to watching the games on TV, I would approve. I like the way it looks on screen. I can understand why people watching at the ACC might feel differently, though.

It's a location and timing problem. Planning trips to southern Ontario doesn't work well for me during the NBA season. When I lived in the GTA, I went to several games. I would go if I lived closer, especially when big names came to the ACC. In 2010, when Lebron visited with the Cavs, the atmosphere was great.

Why would they feel differently? It's not as dark as you think for the crowd. Myself I know I would prefer it over the overly bright lighting they currently have which I've always disliked.

Like the theatre lighting. Good in the arena and on the screen.

But the main thing with Raps games (both in-arena and on-screen) is the game ops. Cut way back on the distractions and focus on the ball game. Also, fire the guy in charge of what camera is operating when.

Yes. The switching from standard view to baseline view is very stupid.

I enjoy the look on TV and even in the arena when the lights are also on the crowd, makes for better atmosphere when something good happens and you can see everyone reacting
theatre lighting just makes it seem like the court is the show and everyone in the dark is supposed to sit quietly and watch

just like when VC was in the SDC, you could see all the player/fan reactions on every dunk, in the following years it was all dark with like random lighting flying around, you couldn't see anything

Forget the lighting. They should retro fit the ACC with a retractable roof so that we can have some games outdoor.

Having been to MSG, the stands are not actually as dark as it seems in the picture/TV. It just looks dark because the camera is trying to average out the brightness, like taking a picture into the sun. I'm all for it.
