Wolves talking to the Raptors about Bosh?

Quote:
Wolfson said via twitter that an NBA contact told him this, but is uncertain if Bosh is open to the idea of coming to Minnesota. He did suggest that a trade could include center Al Jefferson, but also added that it would take more than Jefferson alone.

Not happening. Minneapolis is a smaller market, and in some ways, their situation is worse than Toronto's? But yeah, I'd gladly take Big Al and Rubio as a package for Bosh if the rumours were to ever come to fruitition.

I think the Wolves wouldn't give up the 4th. They'd probably use it on Cousins..and then try to deal Love for a swingman.

I could see Bosh going to Minny and being the new "KG" there, as long as a legit team was assembled around him.

Bosh, Iggy and Hedo to Minny

Rubio, 4th, tpe to Toronto

Jefferson and the 13th to Philly

How could any team turn that down.

Minny has capspace left and Love to net a starting defensive center.
Philly makes room for Turner and adds a legit low post presence
Toronto clears capspace and adds Cousins and Rubio to core with Demar and Bargs.

I am a big fan of Love but a shooting pf isnt what will work with Barags in the front court. Need a low post presence guy.

At this point, I'm guessing at least 10 teams have spoken to the Raps about a S & T. I'd be surprised if the number is lower. The GMs of crappy teams are not doing their jobs if they haven't at least raised the issue briefly.

Yeah, Minnesota could put together a decent package. However, as others said, this ain't happening.

There are a couple of problems with that hypothetical trade.

1 - Hedo and Iggy won't work together. Both play "on the ball"; they are 5+ apg type players. Put both of them on the court with Flynn and you have a problem. I guess you could say that Minny will flip one of them later.

2 - Philly and Minnesota get a little too much value. Either let Toronto keep the 13th pick, or give Toronto Minnesota's other 2010 1st rounders.

Toronto:Rubio + 4th+ TPE

Miami: Jose Calderon + #16

Minnesota: Bosh, Beasley, cook

Miami gets a PG, then Signs either Boozer or Amare with their capspace.

Minnesota gets Bosh and hopes Beasley can fit better then in Miami and still keep their #23 pick. And now can move Love or Jefferson in a seperate trade.

Toronto gets a stud PG, picks one of Johnson, Cousins, Monroe, Favors with #4, then pick Bradley or one of the bigs with #13. And still has options in trading Hedo. And get a Center with the TPE moving Bargnani to PF.

why couldn't Iggy play off the ball? I agree with your second point

Iggy played off the ball alot in Philly this past year. His assists come from fast paced play, not in a half court system.

In Minny he would get out and go and when the game slows to the halfcourt it will be all Bosh and Hedo.

Love and Rubio would be ideal pieces in a trade back(plus Gomes too). I definately wouldnt be opposed to trading with MIN.

Don't we have a better shot at resigning Bosh then him going to the Wolves?

In Sam Smith's latest article, he talks about Minny wanting to lure Lebron. So I would guess trying to get Bosh would be a part of that effort.

No way would LeBron or Bosh go to Minny. It'd be a downgrade for both, and that's saying something.
