![]() I think Denver is wrong not to sign him -in fact I think they're bluffing. They could get him for really, really cheap and unless they plan to match ANY offer coming their way next summer (given chandler will be a backup, that seems unlikely), what's the harm in letting him become UFA? Unless they don't have his bird rights, not sure what the situation is there.

![]() It's obvious he's looking for 8Mil+/4-5yrs. And i don't see Denver doing that with Galo having been signed for the money he got. I would also think that Chandler knows what the Raptors are offering and i have a feeling he likes the money they're willing to pay. And if he has to wait until the summer, so be it.

i like him, not as much as batum (younger and more talent overall), but i can see that happen : boston give denver Allen. boston get chandler (S&T - 8M) boston would begin his way in the rebuilding process wih a serious sf to start. |

We better shed some salary by tomorrow or this won't happen. And we'll have to take our chances this summer. If we offer him 8-9Mil + the starting job we'd have a good chance this summer imo. |

Trading a player does not lose them their Bird rights. Only in a very rare case (a player signing a one year contract that would get them to Early Bird status, then being traded) loses a player their Early Bird Rights, and in that case the player can veto a trade involving them. The only way to lose your full Bird Rights is to sign with another team before you've put in 3 years with the same team. Now that Chandler has put in his 3 years (well, 4 - 3.5 with NYK, 0.5 with DEN, on the same contract), Denver has his Bird Rights until he signs a contract with another team. And if he signs a one year contract this year (which he won't - Denver would be moronic to even offer anything at this point) Denver would retain his Bird Rights, as he still would qualify as having served a term of 3 or more years on the same team (as trades carry Bird Rights with them). |

![]() Prediction: Stefanski convinces Colangelo that bringing WC in right now is the wrong move and only reduces the value of our lottery pick.
Prediction #2: Carp is correct. Correction.... Carp is correct. |

![]() I figured most of you would of realized by now, were not getting WC at all for this season, were going to get him, if at all, in the off-season

Prediction #2: If BC can't clear capspace he'll wait until this summer and pay even more to get him, pissing off carp. |

Costing more in the offseason? What if by doing it then we also are able to work our way to a top 3 lottery spot too? Would it really cost us more in the long run? |

![]() more competition in the summer means paying more. doing it now we could probably land him for 7-8mil? And we're not getting a top 3 draft pick this season either way.
