how about apologizing to the board for stealing posts from other sites and passing them off as your own?

Arguably on a team that plays no defense. It's easy to score with Dantoni. Take as many shots as you want and don't have to play any defense. Look at his stats on Denver?

I'd rather sign Weems for less than half the price.

Whats so funny about Weems? Guy has refined his game and looks to be able to shoot from outside. & we don't have to commit big money on a long term deal.

His stats in Denver were down because he TOOK LESS SHOTS!!

He continued to shoot for a good %, and played very good D. He played with a lot more talent around him in Denver and had less shots. He still had 5rpg, had 1BPG. Take a look at why his points were down a bit.

Paying big money to Chandler? I see a Hedo Jose situation. Anyone can put up inflated stats playing for Dantoni.

I agree with the first part (buyer beware overpaying stats in a D'Antoni system). However, how you make the comparison to Hedo is beyond me.

When we signed Hedo, he was 30 years old, had already been in the league for 10 years, and didn't have the most stellar reputation for hard work. His previous season saw a big statistical decline from his all-star peak the year before that.

Chandler, meanwhile, is only 24 years old, and only has 5 seasons under his belt. The only alarming stat about chandler is his low fg% last season (42%). That was only over a short sample of 21 games. That season for NY (previous 51 games) and the previous year he shot 46% and 48% from the field, respectively.

Chandler is young and still has good upside. The worst case scenario for him (assuming he's perfectly healthy) is about 15ppg in 35 mins a game. However, he's got IMO 20ppg potential; he's a solid 6'8 SF who reminds me more of someone like a young Richard Jefferson than Hedo.

I would seriously consider Chandler for Bargnani money ($10M a season). I think anything over that is a reach and a bad idea.

Nope. Stays an RFA. Just like how we get to keep Valanciunas' rights no matter how long he stays overseas.

I agree with everything except the Jefferson comparison. Jefferson is trash.

So he needs to take more shots to be an effective player? you think he should be allowed to come here and take as many shots as he wants? Pass.

Haaahh. No, comprehend this less shots at the same shooting % = less ppg

And he was still effective..

It's not rocket science. You can't seriously be only looking at his ppg and saying pass, not looking at his D, his consistent rebounding, his shooting. And Weems as another option shows that this fanbase seems to love mediocrity. Weems is a scrub!

I read somewhere that if Denver doesn't sign him for the remainder of this season he'd become an UFA this summer.

Signing Chandler to 10 mil a season is the very definition of mediocrity. In case if you didn't know.
