I think it will all come down to who we draft. We can either draft a PG or SG seeing as there is no dominant C in the draft. If we draft a PG, the we should go for Chandler. As you said, he's a great rebounder and can shoot the 3. I think he was the only one to play defense on the team with NY. It will be hard though to pry him from Denver

The small foward position is too crowded with Kleiza and James Johnson. If you're going to spend 8 to 10 million, spend it on the center position. Both Marc Gasol and Deandre Jordan are restricted free agents, and belong to teams were the owners are very frugal. Drive up the price, those owners won't match!!

I agree Chandler will be hard to get away from Denver. If the Clip's are committed to keeping Jordan, then Kaman is on the block. One of those two (Jordan would be far more ideal cuz of his age) and Marc Gasol should be on the Raps radar.

Chandler is like better version of JJ. So, if Raps gets the guy, they should keep Kleiza as a bench and deal James IMO.
PS. What is so great about Deandre Jordan? Milky got injured, Deandre stepped up, had 7/7 season, few highlight dunks. He is young, but nothing special at all.

I could see him having a great future tbh.

As for Chandler, I'd love to have em on this team, hes one of my favorite players in the league, I have no idea why, but ever since I first ever saw em play I liked em a lot, and seeing him play in TO a few times was nice.

If theres money to fit him on the team PLEASE do it, but C comes first. and possibly PG. It all depends what happens with the draft I guess.

I would deal Kleiza instead of JJ, having Chander and JJ at the 3 would be nice

Although his offensive game is very limited (for now), he has the potential to be a really good help defender, in my opinion. He blocks and alters a fair number of shots, and he's probably only going to get better. My concern would be how much the Raps have to pay to get him. Due to his potential, it could take a big offer to lure Jordan away. Other teams will show interest. I'd be shocked if Deandre is not on a few teams' radar.

He's good man, and plays D. Plus he has a pulse, plays center and rebounds. That's good as gold in Toronto. Marc Gasol is who I really want though. I would far prefer him, although I really don't know why he'd come here.

+1.

I agree. I hope Kleiza improves once he's healthy, but if we could move him I probably would. Chandler and JJ would be awesome at the 3.

Personally I think JJ is fine at the 3 let's give him this summer to see what he can learn & see how in shape can get.

Chandler is a good player, but the asking price would probably be too much.

JJ has the size to defend 3's in the league. I think of him as a bigger Nicolas Batum. He slashes to the basket and shoots ok right now from mid range. Once his mid range and 3 pt shooting are down, he'll be lethal.

It'll be interesting this summer. DD will be at the gym as usual, I want to see how JJ and Bayless develop. And Weems has played well in the absence of Bargs and Calderon, I wonder what he'll do this summer if he stays. I remember watching a highlight video of last year's summer league team and wondering how it'll look this year.

Imagine...

Bayless
DD (or Weems)
JJ
Ed Davis
Alabi

insert the draft pick depending on who we choose.

I like what I've seen from Chandler. If he could be had at a good price I'd be on board.... if we could get rid of Kleiza it'd be even better.

I would dance with joy if we were able to land Gasol or DJ.

i haven't seen the Clippers play much, so I don't really have an educated opinion on guys like Jordan and Griffin.

From what I have seen of Jordan he has hands of stone, and his bball IQ isn't that great. Seems like a lot of cats on this forum believe he'd be a great fit for this team, so I'll hold off on making judgments based on the little I've seen of him.

What makes you think Jordan is a good fit for this team? What does he do well?

that team would set the record for most losses in a season and it wouldn't even be close.

He's a decent rebounder but he's a KILLER shot-blocker. A guy like that would provide some "lane intimidation" for sure. Plus, he's still quite young and I think he'd be an ideal pairing with Ed.

6'11"... 265lbs... legit C size and he's athletic too. Avging 7 rebs and almost 2 blk in just 25 min/gm.

There is no point unless we are pushing for the playoffs next season. Let a guy like JJ prove himself.

Jordan needs a strong influence to continue helping him become the player he can become. Right now as crazy as it sounds, that person is Blake Griffin for him. I've heard multiple times theyve become best friends, and DeAndres improvement this year is attirbuted to hanging around with Blake and seeing how hard he works and joining him in the workouts. I dont see anyone like that on our team.

Chandler would be a perfect fit at the 3 if we didnt have Kleizas awful deal on the books. Johnson has played ok, but he hasnt shown that he can be this teams starting SF going in to the future. He cant be looked upon as such until he improves his overall game. For now hes a bench role player IMO.

Chandler would provide defence, 3 pt shooting, a player who can actually create a bit off the dribble and score, rebound, and he is a very good help defender as well.

If only we didnt sign Kleiza. You cant have such a huge commitment to 2 players at the same position unfortunately, or else we'll be stuck at the other positions forever.

I'd rather go after Gasol this offseason, and somehow unload 2 of the 3 burdens to the books(Jose/Andrea/Kleiza).

BC is such a fuck up.
