..... Andrea Bargnani is fuckin' useless with this team. I don't snap too often with this team or particular players but I have no patience for someone so lost and out of sync. All he has is a shot and one that right now couldn't hit the broad side of a barn if he tried.

Can't box out worth a lick let alone rebound ..... can't even keep up to a average players like Wilcox, Thomas or Collison ...... and doesn't have a clue what to do with the rock when passed too when he's not beyond the arc. Totally and utterly useless.

*end of rant*

I still have faith. Just because I have gone through Godawful slumps too, where I couldn't do anything (this is baseball of course) and then suddenly have a game where it all comes back together. Then everything is cool. He just needs a few shots to go in and he'll pick it up. As for his D, well...there are slumps and there is bad D...and well, he just isn't that great defensively, YET. He's still young, getting better on the defensive end takes time. I still don't think there's any excuse for 6-footers shooting over you, but I'll give him the benefit of the doubt.

What's great is all those people who insisted on arguing during the pre-season that Andrea was going to undeniably be a better player than Bosh, have all but disappeared. I remember how fierce some of those arguments got. But like Jay said, we gotta give him more time. I still believe he is thinking way too much now instead of playing with instincts.

I'm EXTREMELY DISSAPOINTED myself.
But just to keep faith, i look at it this way....

1. Bargnani comes back from apidectimy injury and totaly loses his swagger
2. Bargnani plays for his international team and becomes more fatigue going into pre-se.
3. Bargnani has the pressure from the media of having a "breakout season"
4. Bargnani is givin the role to be our starting center after averaging under 4 boards last season.
5. Bargnani suffers from a knee injury and hits a huge slump.

5 decent reasons to still believe in the kid.
he's confused and trying to get back in his rhythm...
Im 90% sure he'll bounce back later this season.

BELIEVE!!!

For a 7 footer he cannot play the 5, they want him to play the 5 but i dont think he has it in him. For the best of the team and himself the raps need to acquire a quality center and put Bargs in the SF position where I believe he will excel.

Who do you guys believe will be a good center for the raps?

I say Jermaine O'neal

Contract issues aside, I still don't like Jermaine O'Neal as a Raptor. He's still young, but I think he is on the downside of his career. He doesn't seem to have the same enthusiasm for the game as he used to and it looks like his body is slowly starting to get a little D-Mart to it. Not saying that he is out of shape right now, but I don't think his conditioning is where it should be. He also tends to sulk a bit when he doesn't get the touches, I'm not sure how much of a team guy he is.

I'm with Cling, I kind of like Hump at the 5, but let's not dismiss what Rasho has been doing lately. He has been starting games very strongly, taking the ball right at the opposition and picking up some rebounds. I almost recall a dunk or two in there...Rasho hasn't been getting a lot of credit for his play, but he has been doing what they need of him in there.

Jermaine is an injury prone overrated player with a low FG%. But it's very good that you bring up Jermaine because he's another player that took a good 3-4 years to become a player, which is something that could still happen with Bargnani.

I'd welcome a Bargnani for Gasol trade but otherwise, despite how frustrating it is to watch Andrea right now, I wouldn't give up on him for a guy pushing 30, or injury prone (Gasol aside).
